Sorry if this is the wrong forum i wasnt sure where to place it. But does any know who has the world record sized 40k army, you know worlds biggest

A man in my country(argentina) has basically a 100k marine army nearly

I wanna see someone with an entire chapter. 1000 marines, plus vehicles and auxillary support.

Wrong forum, I think this belongs in 40k general discussion. I remember in an old WD there was a man who had almost a whole SM chapter, it was breath taking.

Reading the description of the forums is a pretty good way of judging if your thread belongs in it.

I think GW has the largest 40k army.

Biggest army doesn't mean jack. Biggest self-painted army actually means something, IMO.

My manager at GW (when I worked there) Had an entire chapter of Ultramarines including original rogue trader land raiders for all his terminators and 2 metal thunder hawks (he also has some resin ones he was working on painting). He had them set up in there own room, it was insane. I think he had a portion of it photographed for a WD or some other GW publication, but off the top of my head I don't remember were.

Pah, marine armies are easy, let's see someone with 1k+ orks or guard.

I don't have the largest army. I have a lot - 30K of Guard and of Chaos making them my two largest armies - but I'm sure there are people with more.

I more-or-less stopped when I thought I had "enough", which worked out to roughly 25-30k (points) worth of 40k.

I have other, non-40k interests along with the occasional refuse-to-buy-more snit that further limited my 40k purchasing.

Now that GW has raised their prices further, that just makes me even choosier about what, if anything, I buy.

In the WD mage when they released LOTR: The Return of the King supplement at the back there was someones Dark Angels army. It was nearly a full company (even though your talking about a full Chapter) painting each one to 'Eavy Metal standard. The owner said it takes 3 hours to just paint one Space Marine.

Ok, you guys check back here in like 15 years when ive got like 3 million ork boyz painted and I have enough orks fer a propa waaagh. I'll do it one day. That or i can make the whole Grey Knights chapter, all 50 of em lol.

well theres 3000 grey knights and at there points cost you looking at 75k pts with out tanks or dreds so it would be a fast way but think all those metal models you could sink a ship

the grey knights comment was a joke about how small their armies always are. i usually got like 20 dudes to my opponents 70 when i play DH. Honestly my ork goal is more realistic. God, painting 3 million boyz sounds like torture tho. 54 down only 2,999,946 more to go!

Personally, I couldn't be bothered with anything over 3K points....painting armies is a hobby killer, its bored incarnate....

Well,

All up, our group has some really big armies,
I alone have 50 Grey Knights (And I consider that bigger than the hundreds of marines I have)

I don't really even collect Eldar anymore,
And I have at least 20k points worth of it (accidentally )

I imagine that HBMC has top 1000 in the world,
but as he doesn't scratch build titans like some, I highly doubt that he would be top 10.

There are some big armies.

As others have said it should be PAINTED and ASSEMBLED armies..

Plenty of addicts buy entire retail stores, put the boxes in their room and take pictures to post on forums just to say "I have an IG army!!"

There is absolutely nothing special about ordering a truck from GW.. Anyone can do that

painting armies = for the strong, those with endurance and patience
not painting armies = people who have better things to do, ie not me lol
