Nice! Really cool Squigs, and, despite that colour sceme, ther Trygon too. Perfectly painted, but is that seriously what someone had commisioned? Really, organic bright blue?

And that Nid scheme is really striking. I assume its the same sort of final coloration as that Carnifex you had for sale a while back?

Haha, aww, thanks dudes, it clearly worked as I am fine now! (did you miscast my healing roll? uhoh, do I get sucked into the warp later or something? crap!)
Still had it this morning but had a nap with a cuddle from my horrible fat cat and it cleared up, so it was either your psychic energies or my cat is a secret healer.

I love painting blue, blue is my favourite colour by far! I like to try and sneak a blue shade into mini's quite often

This trygon is indeed to match the Carnifex, the person who bought it commissioned me for more, how cool is that! He is going to paint the smaller figs but I get to do some of the bigger ones which is win, they are only to tabletop but they are a lotta fun.

inmygravenimage wrote:These are looking awesome! Also, don't know whether you're aware, but Syndol (ultimate over the counter anti-migraine med) is back on the market.

Ahhh, is it pricy? I have some Imigran for emergencies but including the docs visit it works out at nearly €35 a pill so I really can't afford to take it often :(

I am currently painting it and just taking a quick break, those stripes are.. time consuming. 2 more layers to go -

I am updating as I paint from my phone to my painting page at http://www.facebook.com/IffysPaintingService so feel free to say hello there! I have a good few pm's to get to here as well, I will try and make time tonight, sorry everyone. I always feel crappy about not responding to them quickly but I have to be sat down and capable of creating legible responses, not silly updates like I do here ><

Thank you so much! He is progressing nicely but I have to take a break now as I am getting the shakes and must need to eat something.

Does anyone else find that when they paint they don't seem to get noticeably hungry till suddenly their hands are shaking? I mean it's great for losing weight and all.. but maybe I should start having dried fruit or something on my desk to eat all the time ><

Can't wait to add some shade into the recesses, I think it will really pop once its done.

If your hands are shaking, then you probably have a blood sugar problem, and you should make sure you're not sliding into Type 2 diabetes.

I would keep a small amount of dried fruit and/or peanuts. A mix of natural sugars and protein for your long painting sessions. Also, take a break every 'X' hours, get up, walk around, drink water, have a snack, then return to the quest.

Syndol is £3.99 for 16 iirc over here, so that's what, 74 euros? about 10 afaik. It's cheap and far, far better than imigran.

I find those little mini rice cakes are really good snacks while painting. so long as ya dont get the cheesy ones- the dust gets EVERYWHERE. Dried pineapple is one of my faves, but I have to be careful with it.... its too easy to eat the whole box!

Aye, it's totally my blood sugar, but it's from being a twonk and forgetting to eat for hours and hours while I paint, not any underlying nastyness, dont worry I grabbed a bag of dried fruit and some sunflower seeds and left them at my desk, I'm great for drinking but eating just totally slips my mind when I get in the zone, food I can just mash into my face with one hand is perfect, so these will do the job!

I could also just make sure to eat BEFORE I start painting, but that would cut into my nerdy game time. Clearly my life is an eternal struggle. /weep

Holy crap thats a lot to drop in a year. I wouldn't have the self control, honestly. Most I've ever lost was 1 stone and now just try and stay around the weight I ended up as, which is easy enough working from home with a controlled larder I can't do what I used to do in the office and use vending machines, which are a terrrrrible habit to get into. I have started doing basic weights though, I one day hope to have the guns of Chris Hemsworth on my totally mismatched body, so I can punch down doors and wrestle bears. It's my life goal.

I'd avoid nids for sale at the moment, the only thing that can take them as allies is other nids. Unless some rule is just ballin for them, they will just get worse and worse. A Doom, Harpy, and Pod kit would help them like a zillion fold for 6th.

I mean, not shaking... but I don't realize I'm hungry.

I'll start painting then, the next thing I know, it hits me all of a sudden; it's 4 hours later, my iTunes playlist has gone off (God knows how long ago), I'm hungy, and I have to pee like CRAZY.

I remember to drink. I pick the cup up and drink without conscious thought. It's eating that's the problem. LOL
Of course, the drinking thing's a problem when you mistakenly grab your paint water... but that's a different thread. LOL

Glory to the Twelfth! Glory to Angron!

‎"Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."
