Hello!

I've been a long time lurker on DakkaDakka, but have finally decided to join in on the fun as well.

a little about me:

I have been into 40k for around 10-15years but took a break around about 2nd edition, only just returning to 40k this year and having to re-learn all the rules!! (thank you 5th ed!)

Many years ago, I used to play: 40k, Necromunda, Mordheim, GorkaMorka...sadly all of that is now out of the window and I only get to play 40k very infrequently, I spend most of my time painting and modeling.

My first EVER army were hideously painted space marines, they were primed white, with black trim and random yellow bits blobbed onto them, they still keep reappearing in my bits boxes every now and again as a horrible reminder! They were then all converted over to Chaos - mostly nurgle. After playing that for ages, I then took a break...

...on my return to the game (several years later!) I have collected a small Eldar (1300pt Saim-Hann variation) warhost, a small hive of Tyranids (around 1200pts) that I have now given to my missus to play against me. My latest project is however my new Chaos Space Marines - around 1200pts worth at the moment, though I predict that will grow very rapidly as I absolutely LOVE the models. Going with a Black Legion variation with some rusty, dirty looking blood red type effects thrown in - I will post pics in the appropriate forum, once I have a decent 'white paper' style background set up!

well thats me, I hope to talk with you all on some of the discussions on what I consider the best 40k forum that I have found!

How is it they live in such harmony - the billions of stars - when most men can barely go a minute without declaring war in their minds about someone they know.
