So when is Abbadon actually gonna poop all over Cadia and have a truly successful Black Crusade? I guess 13 was unlucky for some, 14th time lucky Mr Despoiler?

and how is he gonna manage to have this truly successful black crusade? His efforts so far do explain why he hasn't become a daemon prince yet...

No Creed might be a super tactical genius, but compaired to multiple Primarchs? No way.
Abby needs to stop being a poser and get his gak in order. Horus would of steam rolled Cadia and been knocking on the friggin palace gates at least 10 times by now ( I figure room for a couple mistakes lol)

Personally I think Abby is a bad replacement for Horus

I fought a creed player the other day.
He really is not that imposing as dakkaites say he is.

Meh. Cadia's strategy is, and always will be, lasting long enough to cause a fracturing in the Black Crusade forces.

It's always inevitable, Chaos has the attention span of a ADHD five year old and a sparkler.

I think Angron and the World Eaters should reunite and have a go of it at the head of the next crusade. Just like a Pink Floyd reunion concert, it would be a great success

The 13th WAS successful. Successful enough, anyway, that chaos is still fighting on the planet. Until they lose, there won't be another crusade.

But that's Abbadon's problem. Horus had the renegade chapters united when he waged his heresy. Abbaprimadonna probably spends as much effort wrangling the disparate groups as he does actually fighting the imperium.

I think his biggest mistake is in trying to follow in Horus' footsteps and living like the galaxy hasn't changed in the last 10,000 years.

he's a despoiler of chaos sent to destroy all worlds in the galaxy and bring eternal damnation upon mankind...i think that makes up for not being a tactical genius...

I think we are not going to see any more progression in the storyline for a while... it seems that GW has created the perfect ledge for the Imperium to fall off of, with 'Nids, 'Crons, Orks, and Chaos etc etc etc breathing down their collective necks. Now, there is only war, dontcha know.

Fabius Bile should hurry up and make that Horus clone he's supposed to be working on!

I don't think it will be Abaddon who manages to make the 14th crusade. But the Imperium has both Cagar and Creed at the moment, so anythign they try will be instantly stopped. Creed with his tactical genius and Calgar with his Avatar punching action.

I don't expect Abbadon do get past even Fenris, but he needs to make more ground than simply stepping out of the eye of terror, seeing Creed and surrendering! As many have said, surely a Daemon Primarch or two would be capable of it, although there is A LOT standing in their way even so they should make some ground, then Abbadon could use his 'planet killer' on something useful...

I remember the world wide campaign they did for the 13th crusade book. Us Dark Angels players never fought for anywhere except the old Caliban system.

Probably why we didn't out right win...

Doesn't matter. CREEEEED would just outflank to wherever Abby decided to attack from.

I also agree that Abby won't lead the 14th. I forsee a powerful DP with a far better track record (Which, it seems, isn't too hard to come by) turning the Black Legion against him.

I can't imagine GW would allow their most powerful bad-ass ever to get usurped by someone (even if it is a daemon prince!), and even so it's not a black crusade unless its led by Abbadon, isn't it?

I can imagine Abbadon teaming up with some DP's oooh yeah, maybe even a Daemon Primarch, now that'd be cooool, really coooool! afterall it'd be good to see a Daemon Primarch do something for a change...
