I wonder if the Shadokesh leviathan will be hovercrafts? or more animalistic? (alien spider?)

@BrookM no it doesn't have a shield but why need one? Ripper saw is not exactly a delicate joust weapon.
Maybe put some jet packs on it to insert it quicker into the enemy

That would be an excellent way of tying male and female squads into a cohesive whole.

In addition to the other sylistic methods Mark is undoubtedly using, of course.

Any resemblance of this post to written English is purely coincidental.

Going back to Ms. Cooper's points, will there be helmets of a difference design but the same size, or will we need to use the infantry accessory kits for helmeted heads? Also, any hints on redesigns of the body armor (Black Widows, that is, not Valkir, obviously)?

I forget, was their an 'arm armor' issue with the 15mm's too?

15mm swords and cap coolers? When did they go out? I'm pretty sure I never saw either...

Another question!

Will the 15mm Leviathans 'make sense' in the Iron Core game?

Or will they just be smaller sized 'stand ins' for their bigger 28mm versions?

Should we have 28mm versions for the Iron Core game?

I don't think they will, Alph, unless Dreamforge also releases 15mm infantry. (I don't cherish the thought of so many small fiddly bits, hoenstly. I hope the design is simplified if that happens)

When I think of the Shadokesh I, for some reason, and NOT thinking Bi-pedal. I'm thinking of something kind of like this, but with some arms too.

It's probably just the name but when I hear shadow mesh I instantly think Babylon5. Now make me some shadow walkers that looked like the shadow troops there and I'll give you my second and third born (already used the first for parts )

I'm using mine as an Imperial Knight stand-in and I am rather fond of the shield and the heraldry I put on it.

Those mini's are FIT. And this Iron Core, that's the rule set for them, is it? Where can I get my hands on that?

It doesn't exist yet - it is a Work In Progress that you can sort of track here:

precinctomega.co.uk/wp/

On the subject of 15mm Leviathans - I don't think I was clear...

The 15mm Leviathan fits well enough with the 18mm Infantry (i.e., there is no need for '15mm infantry') - I just didn't know if it would have an 'official' place in the Iron Core game, or if I would just have to use them instead of the 28mm Leviathans.

For some reason, I doubt we'll be seeing 15mm versions of the Shadokesh stuff?

I think the existence of the 15mm is only due to people not liking baby carriers .they make so much better looking dreadknights than GW designs. I don't think they will fit into the iron core game as they are too small to fit a human inside in 28mm.

I think 15mm shadokesh stuff probably won't happen either.

I think you can imagine a single '28mm' figure piloting one of the 15mm Leviathans.

I suppose time will tell, but yes, I think the 15mm Leviathans exist solely for sales into "other markets'!

Well, if Mark is open about people using 15mm infantry from other games, All he would need to do would be to release the vehicles and walkers in 15mm kits, severely reducing the drain on his resources. Has something like that ever been done successfully?

monders: Even "this late in the game" you figure as a very early adopter compared to RoW.

I thought the 15mm versions were for if you wanted to solely play Leviathan vs Leviathan, and have multiple units of them. I agree that they are also for entry into "other markets", but I thought they would have Iron Core game applications too. I will be disappointed if there aren't Shadowkesh 15mm Leviathans.

Sales will tell,

by a bunch of the 15mm stuff and there's a much better chance of more

if it does (comparatively) badly compared to the 28mm equivalents (especially at retail rather than KS) less so

There's lots of 15mm sci fi stuff out there, but not a lot of really awesome 15mm sci fi. So this is a nice start. Are there going to be Iron Core rules for both 15 & 30mm?

One thing that's really sorely lacking is good sci fi terrain. Something like GW's Cities of Death or the Mantic Deadzone buildings but in 15mm would be awesome and I bet you'd sell tons, and would probably be pretty easy to do too in plastic being flat panels and all.

I dont mind the idea of the 15mm versions in the game, give it a similar stat line to the 28mm levy but an overall reduction across the board.

Why wouldn't there be additional 15mm units? Mark already did some test shots of 15mm infantry a while back, and they looked damn nice. One piece infantry, 15mm walkers and vehicles, air units (if possible) and you have a full large scale battle game.

I see the 28mm stuff as smaller skirmishes, but leading up to platoon size engagements. Anything larger than that, or with multiple Leviathan sized units, you'd want to switch to a smaller scale for it.

There are multiple rule sets out there that encompass 15-28 mm scales with only small, or in some cases, no adjustments. Tomorrow's War, Gruntz, Stargrunt 2, etc.

There IS a market for 15mm stuff out there. We just need to capitalize on it, and help bring it to the masses

I certainly am using them with the idea that a single 28mm pilot is inside

Alright I'll take it back, it was late when I said it, and now that I've had sleep I think a person could fit inside. Especially since I have my 15mm one next to a marine dreadnought , though their might only be half a marine inside .

Isn't 15mm the same as HO scale stuff? Sure, not a lot of SciFi stuff, damn lot of railroad stuff out there that could recall older aesthetics.

+1 Here. If someone, anyone would have filled this niche you would have your funding.

I thought they were also an option in case you wanted to field a dreadnought-ish sized mech thing but didn't want to put down a Shogun Warrior* (cool as the Leviathans are).

I absolutely love the style of the Iron Core universe and these models are absolutely top-notch. I do like how the Eisenkern have this Sci-fi WWII Germany/Helghast look to them, and they also kind of remind me of Dark Troopers from Star Wars lore.

Part of me really wants to get some, but another part of my realizes they would look kinda strange in my army, as my IG is Soviet/Russia styled rather than German. If you guys are planning to expand into more factions, I can't wait to see what have in store for Sci-fi Soviets (if you guys are planning on going along with this theme).
