Hi My name is Kim and im totally new to warhammer.To be honest i know nothing about the stuff,but i love painting so i thought id give these guys a go. i hope to learn lots about what these models represent. I bought my first set of models this weekend ( got some very strange looks in game work shop) and last night i finished painting my first model. so here is the finished result. Any way my Hi is getting a bit long now, but nice to meet you all

An excellent choice of army too 
And my wife refuses to go into GW shops because of the way people in there tend to react/treat her, so good on you for braving the horrors of GW

As far as painting guides go, you could do far worse than look at some of these threads by LBursley.

Thanks for all the welcome messages and im not at the stage of refusing to go into the shop yet. to be honest it keeps my husband on his toes lol. i didn't realize how addictive painting these models are, i bought a set of 12 ans started putting them together on Sunday and now Ive only got 6 left to paint. Better slow down a bit they are suppose to last till Christmas till i get my battle force set
