That's because I stick to Sectorials only (short of the odd extra mini in a starter box)

Wow, I am lost for words! And feel kind of inadequate now..

I'm guessing this is the polar opposite of proxying with a pair of Space Marine legs and using a transformer as a TAG!

Looking forward to some blogs though in any case as you guys work through that !

Brace for impact!

Are you kidding me?

This is going to be horrible. The community's going to grow, certainly, but the stock chains are going to get as bad as Privateer Press was last year.

Agreed!

However, that limit should be on the other side of a Jotum!

If it helps grow Infinity AND helps make CB more successful, that's a trade off I'll gladly take!

I don't know if it will really help make CB more successful though, Alph.

Look at how hard it is for The Warstore to keep stuff in stock now, with the levels of interest not inflated by a massive swap (whether or not it remains a permanent spike) of people from GW to Infinity. Look at Maelstrom, Wayland, etc as well.

It might be a good thing--it might be a bad thing where they end up behind in releases, like PP was.

I'm going to go with the time honored tradition of more sales = more money for CB = more investing in equipment/infrastructure to produce more miniatures to meet the increased demand, etc.

I hope.

I have a big box full of the resin block thingies from all my Forgeworld and other resin orders.

They look like they would be fairly useful as Jersey Barriers on an Infinity table. Do you guys think they would work?

And I don't know who would be the go-to person for this. But what is the chance of us getting an Infinity event added to Adepticon 2013?

Those resin block thingies make great jersey barriers. I approve

Got my Anathematics today. Now I just need to figure out how to play/paint/assemble these darn (awesome) figures...

Yes. Yes they would.

That's actually why I have a big box full of them too...

Also makes it a TINY bit easier to justify those FW purchases, since you are using every single bit of the purchase

So quick question about the new quick-start rules:

Are the small 4 model army lists supposed to be a balanced option for demos and learning?

I've got to agree here. Getting hold of Infinity in the UK takes time as nowhere can get hold of the stock on a regular basis; especially the newer stuff.

Since there was an Infinty event in 2012 - probably pretty easy!

I had looked a couple of times and couldn't find anything other than the demo, so I did not think there was one. That's good news then.

Great! He already forwarded those to me, but it's always great to make it more accesible.

Something that seemed a little weird was that some lists went crazy with their SWC (Combined Army, SWC 3.5 at 74 pts). How does that affect the balance?

Can't happen. 75pts mean 1.5 SWC max.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.

Uh, no it is. I think what happens there is they are ignoring the SWC from the LT. If you don't throw that out, you end up VERY limited, because you have to have an LT of some sort.
