Was wondering how much a truescale 500pt space marine army would cost? On about buying one from a friend, he says its a bargain at £300!
Contents are- 10 man squad of marines

I'm interested in pics. However you can't plan on building a full army off such a purchase. True Scale is something difficult to get right, and even more difficult to get consistent. That in of itself makes a purchase unwise. On top of that, anything short of a master paint job would make the purchase useless as you'd only be buying them for display purposes.

Unfortunately I cant get any pictures atm, but I assure you they are all consistently made and modelled as I have studied them relentlessly wondering if its worth it.

Probably would like to have the odd game with them but they would mostly be for display purposes.

If it's mostly for display then I think you need to consider how much you value them. If 300 seems fair for the painting standard then go for it...if not then try elsewhere.

Well do *you* think it is worth it? Converting and painting 500 points worth of stuff to truescale is a lot of work...it's really up to you how much you want to spend on such an item.

I'd go for 1000 pts:

Librarian in terminator armor

2x10 Marines (possibly in Rhinos)

10 Termies.
