hey i am trying to make a EFECTIVE SM spam list. i mean like 100 marines or somn. It needs to be put into 2000 pts. And i mostly play against Mech tau, and hybrid IG, sometimes heavy wep chaos.
please help me

Well give us something to go on....What have you got? What do you like using? What do you want to use? Do you want it to be competitive? Do you want an army spoon fed to you, because that's just a little lazy? I'm sure plenty of people would be willing to help if you helped them just a little.

ok sorry bout that... Umm i have about 60 Marines and i have vulken hestan. and 3 dreds with cc wep and melta. I have 4 boxes of tac squads nib.
all my squads are bare exept for flamer and/or melta. I still have all the bits for my dreds magnatied.

The main problom i have is getting blown up by a bunch of plasma russes, or hammerheads.. And hb havocs...
they all desing their lists to mow/melt down mine.

So you play sallies?
if your foot slogging that many marines then your kind of asking you friends to plasma cannon you

I suggest pod's for your dreadnoughts, so you can make use of your DCCW's quickly to get rid of the executioner LRBT's, Ironclad Dreads would be even better, but we'll work with what you have.
why are you so set on foot slogging? rhino's would help you ALOT.

You need rhinos and melta. Mech tau, IG and Heavy Chaos are all going to need a lot of anti-tank.

If you wanna go marine spam thats fine, just give them the proper weapons. And a vulkan list would work well with many melta guns and flamers.

To be honest, there is no reason to footslog marines. Bare rhino are some of the best cheap transports around.

If you want to have lots of troops, that's fine. Some Hord army's don't work.[ big groups like you have.]
What kind of army do you want? Assault close combat or shoot them up?
Assault-Find something that will make you run faster and assault the opponent. Are you going to have a Shoot them up army? bring lots of heavy weapons or snippers to shoot up all of the plasma cannons.
