Fresh-Faced New User

Just a quick introductory post. I am looking to get into the whole hobby that is 40k. I don't have much (read any) experience with tabletop games or anything to do with miniatures ! But, I am certainly looking to get my feet wet, and these forums seem to be a great way to do just that. My current dilema is what army I want to field ! While I have flip flopped from Space Marines to Imperial Guard I am thinking now Eldar would be pretty frickin' suhweet  . I find the models to be aesthetically pleasing and I think their playstyle would really be in line with what I am looking for from an army. With that being said, any input on what exactly to include in my new army would be fantastic ! But I suppose that should be its own post, so look forward to that tomorrow.
Would also just like to say that I visit the forum regularly and I think the community here is really swell. I am looking at first to suck everyone's brains dry of knowledge, than maybe even look to contribute in the future ! Yay !

I'd recommend heading over to the Army Lists section and reading up on good lists for whatever army you choose. There's plenty of good advice there.
