Pretty much as expected. Looking forward to some new 8th edition Empire... maybe I will buy some after I finish painting my zillion points of 5th and 6th edition figures...

I predict a hive of activity on ebay after this release. Intrigued by the Seaguard. Makes a difference from the arbitary Spearmen/Archers they gave us in the 4th Edition box.

moral of the story: buy black reach gobbos while i can if im going to restart the night gob tide, and see what the new starter is gunna be so i can plan a new army...

that is, of course, pending they seriously overhaul the rules in this edition...

Trouble is, traditionally the two races involved in the Boxed Set get a new army book to accompany. Now sure, the High Elves could get an early update, but Skaven, no chance.

Interesting though.

God I hope those are new Silver Helms.

I have difficulty coming up with creative ways of destroying the plethora of them that I have (they've not aged well).

Also, even with the Griffon, that seems horribly skewed in favor of the Skaven.

Indeed they can, and indeed they don't. In that exact order!

I hope the High Elf Griffon doesn't have the rider 'molded in', as I'd love to get some plastic Griffons for my Empire army!

Sling type weapons comes in night runner boxes.

does that mean GW wont make box kit version when HE get update? or they get both versions?
