I don't know about "damned fine," but I do like the new 'dex and I have enjoyed playing my beloved CSM even more under it. The shake up also forced me to look into new units and possibilities, which I appreciate.
Anung Un Rama wrote:just because the codex isn't fun anymore doesn't mean it's not competive
I still have fun with my army, though with the loss of speed lord and scattered / moving demonettes it's lost some maneuverability and instant combat power. Then again other elements have gotten killier, at least in regards to fighting MEQ.
Alpharius wrote:Sadly, there's no Chaos Traitor Legions Codex in sight...
Even though I didn't own a Legion army I do miss their inclusion and possibilities. I also dislike the aggresive genericizing of demonic elements.

Sure you're not missing a ' ' or a ' ' or maybe eevn a ' ' at the end of that sentence Nurglitch?
Or, at the very least, a qualifier like ' ... damned fine book if you have an Ultramarine army and want to turn agains the Emperor' or maybe even ' ... damned fine book if you've always liked Chaos but still want to play an army that was pretty much loyalists but with more spikes' or possibly even ' ...damned fine book if you have a really good imagination as imagination wasn't included in this one'.
Just checking...

Meh... for me there wasnt too much of a disturbance when it came out. I already played the "Ultramarines of Chaos", Black Legion. I do feel a little sad for the dedicated legion players, but the writing is on the wall about the direction they are going with the new Codexs. That should have been evident with Eldar.

That would be a short scavenger hunt seeing as how all the gothic buildings in the 41st millenium are covered in skulls.
