all this talk about what miniture they should paint, we're missing something - how the fething to you get them to paint in the first place. I got mine a collectors range lotrs - seeing as she likes the films and can reconginise it so it means something rather than being nerdy sci-fi!) and nearly a year later we've managed to paint the severed fellbeast head and base. It's a definate no no to any more models as gifts though even though she appreciated it.

I'm coming to get you

The callidus? Well, depends how thick your gimp suit is as to whether they'd show through. Her's must be pretty thick as I see no toe...

I don't even know how to post pictures at 4Chan. Hell yesterday was the first time I ever posted there. I'm too scared of the place to start a thread.

nothing a little green stuff can't fix.

Way back when, my wife's cousin tried to teach her to play 40k so she could impress me, but she couldn't understand it (the point of it, really) so it turned her off from the whole thing. She likes when I paint stuff, but I still can't get her to play. She likes Daemonettes, Eldar titans, and the Unyufex.

I showed her Coolminiornot.com and she spent ages going through them all, going "Oh god, I wanna paint like that!" and she eventually she was browsing the net looking for her own army. She's pretty much settled of a Slaaneshi daemon army, but I don't think she'd spend that much cash until she plays a few games and decides she wants to commit to her own army. So far she's just fooling around with my Nobs

Excitement is contagious. When I finally ordered my AoBR set I didn't stop talking about 40k for a week. And we met this guy at university that's obsessed with the Eldar and talks about in-game stats in almost every sentance. Eventually even she was using words like "shooty" and "dakka" in everyday conversation.

Hey, the uploader did say "Description"...
John wrote:You've got a girl like that, and you spend a Saturday night PAINTING?!?

Yeah, why not? We had a hellavalot fun! Plus, we both stopped smoking (it's 8 days today) so it helps to keep us busy and our minds occupied. If we go sit in a club somewhere we'll just end up smoking a pack again.
Spacewolverine wrote:She looks young, probley about 18 or so.

I'm sure that his GF knows he posted the pics. Obviously she posed for them. My wife plays 40k as well took a little bit but motivation/excitement and fun is contagious. Plus, its better then watching a boring sitcom.

She's not THAT young, but not old enough to drink in the states yet
Warhammer's better than TV, at least I've got something to show for it when we sit and paint for 3 hours, rather than wasting away infront of the idiotbox...

My wife has shown interest in painting the figures but hasn't had the time to sit down and start yet. I did get her to play a short game the other day but it was late and we had to play on the carpet as I'm still waiting for my gameboard to be delivered, it's two weeks late at the moment and counting (I did get it for £108 though which is why I haven't cancelled the order). Anyway, She says she wants to play after the board is sorted so hopefully in the next couple of weeks as I'm currently building scenery.
