Your freehands are jaw-dropping, amazing work. It's a shame the rivets crop up where they do, as painted your fresco subjects appear to have a few gnarly bumps.

Didn't get much painting done this weekend. Had a RTT saterday. (My first place present to myself was 2 shiny new Valks) Then Mother's day on Sunday I took my mom to see star trek. But anywho... I got home from work and went straight to painting to make up some lost time and here is what I've done.



I'll probably finish this tomorrow.

@FoxPhoenix1358: My mom loves Star Trek. I could take it or leave it.... but I do enjoy most sci-fi things. My mom raised me on X-files, Star Trek, and Star Wars! (so I got lucky with that)

@JD21290: Thanks for the compliments but I am no where near as talented as the eavy metal team. They can crank out so much in a short amount of time and they have to paint a certain way to fit in with all the other GW products. And those GD fella's are so far out of my league it's not even funny. However someday I hope to achieve their level. (and Yes I was a traditional artist before I got into mini's)

I finished the other mural today.... Maybe.... I can't decide about two things. 1) the bottom half of the Emperor's robes... I don't like it but don't know if it's worth fixing. 2) The other sides mural is bigger. To balance both sides, should I paint the sky or background on the piece or add little floating cherubs?

Eavy metal painters wish they could paint like this.
they do "colour by numbers" painting.
they simply follow the detail on a model.
you bring it to lief by adding alot more detail and realistic toutches.

this is up to GD par, you would have no problems taking the vehicles catagory.

@ Lunahound: I live in the country... so I would have to drive a very long ways to even get to a GD. So probably not.

These are beautiful indeed, I love the nonstandard painting style, puts me in mind of the very old army painting I used to see when I started out, including a minotaur by John Blanche with the Mona Lisa painted onto it's back banner!

However I've seen the rhino with the woman on the roof before... I think... on some photos from a friend of mine, do you know a lady called Erin, with a WH army (all SoB)?

Now here's an artist who takes real pride of place in his art work. Very good work on the hand drawn, then painted, murals on your vehicles, and the faux marble effect on the outer vehicle armour is top rate too. Very inspiring, over the normal greens, reds and blues that space marines are known for, 5 thumbs up.

P.S. I plan to do the cherubs by Monday. After that no more murals..... :( just boring assembly line troops and drop pods. The Dreads and Vulcan may be fun though.

Sir as previously said by plasticspork , you have inspired me. I did not know what colors to paint my rhino's and spacemarines shoulder pads, i think the marble look with the grey body will look cool. I am just astounded by your amazing work. I look forward to seeing more pictures.
