What's the MAIN reason you do or don't finish most of your tournament Warhammer 40K games?
I finish the vast majority because I'm a very fast player who practices often with my army.
I finish the vast majority because I use very small sized armies.
I finish most because I'm a pretty fast player who practices some with my army.
I finish most because I tend to use smaller sized armies.
I don't finish most because I'm kind of a slow player and/or I haven't practiced with my army much.
I don't finish most because I tend to use larger sized armies.
I don't finish most because I'm kind of new to the game and still learning the rules.
I don't finish most because I'm unlucky and tend to get opponents who are kind of slow and/or use larger armies.
I don't finish the vast majority because I'm a very slow player and/or never get to practice with army.
I don't finish the vast majority because I play absolutely huge armies.
I don't finish the vast majority because I'm very new to the game and still learning the rules.
I don't finish the vast majority because I'm unlucky and always get opponents who are very slow and/or use a gigantic army.

I don't do tourny's because players get too competitive and cut throat, beside I like playing themed armies, even if the troops are absolutely worthless, my RPG background I guess.

Normal games I go moderately fast, but even on a slow day I always finish due to determination.

I don't play tournaments, I've barely played any 40k at all aside from a few small games around 800 points as Im still learning the rules. I have no intention of playing in any tournaments aside from the friendly ones at my FLGS as I heard some of the stories from the 40k veterans that playing in tournaments at like Gamesday people become donkey-caves and take the fun outta it.

I suck at 40K and by the 3rd turn when I have 2 marines left, I call the game. Seriously.

Sounds to me like your games tend to be Nasty, brutish, and short <kekeke>

As for my own games, in 2000 points I tend to have 22 models on the table (on a GOOD day) so my games tend to go rather quick, I either A: Wipe out my oppenent quickly (or at least even our ratio, which tends to favor my victory in the end) or B: Get wiped out rather fast due to terrible Invul-Saves.

I always finish, Khorne needs his skulls and a fresh drink of blood. Never had a problem never finishing as by turn 4 my opponent is dead or runs away saving what he can.

A combination of not having a lot of games under my belt and typically playing a horde of Orks slows my playing time.

I haven't played in any tournaments yet. But in my regular play, games take a while mostly because my friends and I are fairly cautious commanders with massive horde armies. And we don't play as often as we'd like, so we're often looking up rules.

I voted finish most because I practice. I play Hybrid guard and have around ninety infantry in my tourny list and I do just fine, it's all practice and knowing the movement techniques for large units of infantry.

I've seen them being played.

I usually am very quick at resolving my turns as are most my oppoonents, but there is alwasy one player who is slow, I once drew him but due to his force basically being 3 marines squads a DP Dread and failbadon it was a nice quick chaos v chaos game

I normally don't finish most games because there is often a clear winner/loser before the end of the last turn, and I play for fun--not to win.
For me, when both players realize there is a clear advantage to one side and one person has absolutely no chance, the game loses it's fun and we call the game and end it early.

Games always finish, theres a time limit! Silly question lol

"You smell dat? Do you smell dat? Napalm, son. Nofing else in da galaxy smells like dat. I love da smell of napalm in da morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' 'ummie body. Da smell, you know dat gasoline smell, da whole hill. Smelled like... victory."

I usually finish - with Orks - but that is because I do not bring a 'uge mob to a tournament (because then I would NOT). I wish I could, I like the tide, but save it for casual games.

I don't like to rush, and I like to chat with my opponent (I don't like a white-knuckle game played in stony silence) seems to me that meeting new people is the main reason to travel to a tournament.

I don't mind close games, and I love to claw back from near defeat to steal a tie or an 'undeserved' win... I don't quit early. I do get annoyed when someone 'quits' right way and only plays half-heartedly (with big sighs) because I have the upper hand.

Third game in a tourney I usually slow down. My ideal tourney would be 2 longer games ... and food.

Only played in one tourney, played Orks vs marines all day: got in 4 turns against a WAAC TFG who slowed noticeably once the board was in his favour; a full 7 against a regular opponent; and 3 turns with running late in the last game against a good guy who really could have stood to spend less time talking to guys across the length of a 50' store and more time reading his codex beforehand.

I play Orks and run 100+ models in 1500 points. I've gotten in a full (ended after 5 turns) game vs Green Tide with almost 300 models on the board. The key is, I (and my opponent) rarely check the rules or my Codex. Going into a timed-game setting I feel you have a certain responsibility to your opponent to be able to play to that standard. If I didn't know I was capable of playing a horde under those circumstances, I simply wouldn't do it.

Time restrictions. Due to time limits imposed or the lack of time limits, majority of the games are left unfinished or go way overtime and other players would not be able to stay as long.

I have got too get better dice... or better luck. I've been playing 40k for 5 years, I have pretty good armies, and I tend to practice every so often... but my dice rolls kill me everytime... whether I'm trying to save one of my Space puppie hero's or trying to kill something with a Leman Russ, I will ALWAYS miss, and get completely slaughtered... It's very disheartining to know that I've been playing for just over half a decade and still have yet to win a game... nevermind a tourney...
