I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

I can deal with spindly arms. THey won't snap off if you are using magnets.

Sucks. I am gonna need 2 of the Cryx. I need another Slayer, and I kinda like the new one.

I can see mix/match with the GRIND arms for a Cryx/Menoth team.

And about time for a Skarre resculpt. The old one looks like a Gary Morley elf.

Bam, said the lady!

I think if the rest of the line turns to plastic, I may have found a replacement for Warhammer (or at the very least, a supplement)

Then again, I think most privateer press stuff looks like blobby, misshapen crap.

I like the modified shape of the new khador jacks. I never liked how the metal khador jacks didn't match up to the concept art in the books.

What this also means is that many of the future new jack releases will have multiple variants in the box.

No, you're not. It's like anything else. If you didn't like the design of the game to begin
with, I don't think these plastic models or anything else they do will make you happy.

Yes you can run jack heavy with mk2. Depending on the caster of course, but for most casters you could run solid lists with 2 heavies and with the penalties for trampling over infantry removed or reduced and with jack made more durable it is advisable to run at least one heavy in list.

And with jacks having higher attack stats, you can even use them without focus to decent effect.

Mercs get nothing because that would mean designing at least 2 new heavy 'Jacks to make the kit worth it, because no Merc 'Jacks share Chassis like there is within the core 4.

And personally, I prefer my Mercs like that. Makes us less rigidly military and more "what we can get for our money".

Lovin that Khador Jack. Too bad I really don't like how WM plays. Maybe I'll like Mk.2 though, who knows.

I'm pretty excited to finally see plastics. I've been away from the game since 2005 and I'm really digging the plastic Cygnar jack w/ twin mini guns. Very cool.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Nice models...won't be picking any up tho as I just dumped all of my Warmachine on E-Bay due to the backwards step PP is taking with the Mk 2 ruleset....not impressed with the changes at all. All of the players at my FLGS are either doing the same or sticking with MK 1 Warmachine/Hordes.

That is sweet. Too bad I only play the Agenda.

How about a second caster for me? Or have Mags invent time travel so both his regular and epic versions can be in one game.

I'm just sayin' think about it, PP.

Mercs are getting the Ghordson Basher in December which is rumoured to be a three in one kit that can also be used to build a Ghordson Driller or Wroughthammer Rockram.

Looking to the future Mercenaries have the Nomad/Mule and Freebooter/Mariner that share chassis and are therefore possible candidates to go plastic.

I don't like the designs myself, actually, which is kind of sad as I like PP's general philosophy.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

There is that, yes. From what I've heard, the Basher will be a metal kit, so maybe Mercs simply lack the sales to go plastic. Only time will tell, I guess. I would've liked a warcaster resculpt, though. I dig the machine gun Cygnar jack, definitely. It looks like a supersized Sentinel.

I respect a company that's willing to change and overhaul even its own holy writ when sensible far more than one that's tied up to an ideological statement. Especially if said statement was as silly as the ones you're quoting. Plastic models for Warmachine makes sense, simple as that. If that means eschewing from a particular marketing schtick, so be it.

The thing to remember about the Caine model is that it's not meant to be a superduper epic Warcaster.

It's "Lieutenant Caine". As in, regular ol' vanilla Caine

or at least that's what I'm understanding from the feed.
