Llamahead wrote:I have to say these are excellent and really make the Termagants and the Fleshborers look more like symbiote/parasites than soldiers with guns. How difficult and what was involved in the conversion? I'd like to try it on my own Nids in the fullness of time.

If you keep them in simple running poses and dont adventure yourself in more complex poses, its a very very simple convo... you want a little tut about them?

Runners and peepers lol, love it. I really like their animalistic feel, far less anthropomorphizing than the usual nids you see. Very unique!

A Tutorial would be great.

One thing that puts me off Tyranids is that they look like they are holding their weapons in their hands. That makes no sense for an engineered species.
It makes as much sense as the Battle droids in Star Wars holding blasters in their hands and talking to each other in English.

Very interesting Nav, 2 questions for you -

1. what do you use as lubricant on your gs tools?
2. how close to the flame and for how long do you hold the plastic?

I am pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say: Thanks!

1. Just water and saliva sometimes.
2. Very close and just a few short seconds like 2 or 3 tops... a bit of fire and try to bend then a bit more and bend again... slowly bending the tail... soon you will master the flame with practice, just dont try to bend it, in one go.

Thanks the Eldar Titan was something really unconventional... I doubt I will spend another 2 years just sculpting a titan again.

You know that, even If I dont have the time to participate on your VERY original competition, you gave a great idea with your theme for my army objectives

Resin is ussually less heat resistant so I would use a hairdryer instead... to slowly heat the resin.

I like that dog analogy and funny thing is that there will be one terma "scratcher" pose on this brood.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.
