While this is slightly irrelevant, I often wonder if Gwar! has an army, or if he just plays vassal all the time. His gallery is certainly interesting.

AHA! I knew it! That being said...I really love CD, I just can't afford to play them and the rest of my armies.
dogma wrote:I haven't played a war game in at least 2 years.
That's too bad. You should really try and play more. Admittedly, my FLGS is packed with great players that also enjoy going outside and having a smoke and some Scotch afterward.
dogma wrote:That being said, I have a large Marine army, Dark Eldar, and Tau. I also have functional armies for every FB race.
Nicely done. WHFB armies are generally just better looking, but every once in a while I am pleasantly surprised.
I myself play Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines and Orks in 40K. I built up my own chapter for SM, but our FLGS runs some really, really epic Apocalypse games and I needed to get my forces converted to Alpha Legion to play. So in keeping with the Alpha Legion, I kept my models as regular SM, and modeled all of my new ones, including my primarch honor guard as un-Chaosy as possible. A friend built me a quick Omegon for the game, but I am currently working on building the twin brothers for our game at the end of June. My Orks are my fun army, and I probably have a bit more then 3000 pts now. I am looking to start a DE army soon, just for fun.
For Fantasy I play High Elves, but I think I am going to start a Lizardmen army soon. And I play Outcasts for Malifaux, led by the Two Victorias.

I give you 3 guesses with no hints as to what army I play.
Chaos is my Master! I have about 2000 pts of CSMs for 40k, but something around 4000 points of Fantasy Chaos I have laying around cause I no longer play it.

Thought of WM and I'd do Khador if I got into it.
I'd do Tyranids if I could settle on a paint job I like the look of...LOL.

I am not a veteran, but I only post here and in Painting and Modeling and blogs.
I play Imperial Guard, like my s/n implies. and blood angels.
back about 10 years ago I had 5000 points of dark angels and 1300 points of orks. sold em all. Automatically Appended Next Post: but really, I am more in the hobby for the painting and customizing, rather than playing.

I fielded a 2,000 Ork army fully painted a little while back. It was the largest army I've ever put on the table fully painted. It wasn't a great list - all bits and pieces units, but I got lucky and won. I've got another 1,000 odd points of orks to paint, that'll allow me to build some pretty solid, pretty interesting forces.
I've got a pile of Tyranids, most of the big guys painted, hardly any of the little guys. They're done with terracotta for the carapace and GW doesn't make that anymore and I can't be bothered mixing it, so they might not ever get finished.
I play Necromunda, running Spyrers right now and just got a bunch of Cawdor guys that I'll paint up and play when I complete my vow. When I've got time to paint new stuff I'm working on Necro terrain, stuff that's good for a 40K game doesn't quite work for Necro - you need big buildings with multiple levels.
I was in a Bloodbowl tournament the other week, first tournament I've ever played in, I took Wood Elves because I found the models in the cupboard already painted. There was a treeman in there, unassambled, unpainted, so I did paint him. I won three quite comfortably, lost two narrowly and got thumped in one. I finished 21st out of 40. Good fun, good blokes, I plan on going again next year.
I'd really like to play Epic, but starting a whole new game when no-one here plays seems a little foolhardy. I'm very envious of the people in this thread with Epic armies.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

The BloodBowl GT last month was the first time i've ever been to a serious tournament; and it was fething amazing. Didn't have a single rules dispute, everyone was friendly and helpful, and the Bugmans' staff bring beer to your gaming table
Amusingly, the weekend all us Dakkites are going to nottingham for a few games/beers, there is another big Bloodbowl tourney taking place. I'll probably bring my board with me and a couple of teams in case anyone wants to play in Bugmans

I have about 3,000 pts of orks with about 2700 of it painted. I started a Raven Guard army and was real into it for a while, but lost interest. I have about 2,000 points of Raven Guard in various stages of paint/assembly. I plan on doing nids, of which I have a Trygon I'm working on ATM. And my latest IG gun line project which has all of my attention right now. You cna see it here- http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/289855.page
Also I quit wargaming a few years ago and had a massive purge, where I sold whole painted armies(2,000 pts+) of, IG,Ultramarines, Lizardmen,Vampirecounts, Tyranids, Eldar, Ogre kingdoms and Dwarves. I also purged my warmachine stuff of which I had Menoth and Cryx.

I spend about 70% of my time in here (Often laughing off my chair, thanks to the humour thats flies around) so I guess that counts.
40K - Sig gives it away, but mostly Orks, have a two faction army coming together atm, about 2500pts of Deathskulls around a Big Mek, and 1500pts of Bad Moons around a Warboss.
Also have Chaos Marines of various Gods, and some Traitor Guard.
Fantasy - I have DarK Elves (what else ) and some Orcs.
Mordheim - Female Vampire gang (plus female Necro, Dreg, and three female zombies so far) plus some Reiklanders.
Blood Bowl - Lowdown Ratz and Dwarf Warhammerers.

The beauty of Daemons. Can work for both systems. The change to 8th sounds like it'll bring daemons down to "okay, it won't be so bad to play them" instead of now where it's like "OMG you brought Daemons. I don't want to play you, you evil powergamer you."
Though things like crushers and flamers will still be nasty. Just no more 30 PD per magic phase. LOL.
