..I've got some bad news for you about Vader and Luke as well.
..not as bad as the conversation between Luke and Leia after ROTJ and Splinter of the Minds Eye however..

Alphy, didn't the Season 8 comic come out 3-4 years ago?
I think they're actually talking about this:
"In November 2009, it was announced that a motion comic based on the series would be produced. The first issue was released on July 19, 2010 on Amazon Video on Demand and iTunes."

I believe that's not actualy what the mask will look like but a 'shopped version for the cover.
Good eyes murphy.

..hmm Sinestro looks like Sinestro, which is a bonus.

I have to admit that the Hal Jordan Green Lantern was my favorite comic character. I have a bunch of the Silver Age comics, from Green Lantern/Green Arrow through the GL Corps. While I think that Hal's character got fethed without the curtesy of a reach-around in the last 10 years, I do understand that DC has to shake up the status quo on occassion. I stopped reading after #50 of the "new GL" series, but I followed his character.
The few stills I've seen so far look fair, but still photos this early out don't really tell you that much. I don't like the interview Blake gave where she says she's the second best test pilot, next to Hal. In the comic books, she owned the air line that Hal worked at. Not a craptastic change, but not cannon, either.
Spoiler:
And I'll just ignore the whole Star Saphire storyline for now.
All in all, casting Ryan Reynolds (not a great actor in my book), might work out. I'll need to see a full trailer.

I want to see a full shot of the costume before I pass judgment. The striation may be less pronounced than the cover shows. And it'll look closer to the original if the black side panels are still there.
I could see the second film in this series being better than the first. Because what we all really want to see is Hal duke it out with Sinestro and the yellow Qwardian ring.
kronk wrote:Yeah. HH is not the best villian in the library.
Sinestro is an obvious choice. I hope they do him justice.
The Tattooed Man could have been fun to see. fethed up, but fun.
Goldface stories were usually good.
Sharkman sucked. As did sonic man. Guess what powers they had?
There's always Blackhand and Nekron.
But they're probably waiting to use them for a toned down(read: Massacred) Blackest Night based movie in the series.
Don't forget the Manhunters, either.

I can't imagine how a GL movie would be especially hard to write - introducing into the Corps sets the stage for lots of stuff, with no need for goofball stuff.
Sharkman & Sonicman can't be worse than any of the Flash villains.

Meh. That's just a cover shoot. I'm sure the real thing will be much less shiny. Looks neat though. I never really liked the "white" green lantern. The black guy one justice league was cooler. Imo

In the comics, Jon Stewart was a whiny bitch. Guy Gardner was a dick. Hal Jordan was cool. When the new series started though, they tried to make him an introspective James Dean Rebel without a cause in the first few comics.

OK.

I just looked him up, and his story is so cornball that I just can't imagine why he's in the movie.
OTOH, Marvel is doing the Thor movie, so go figure...
I believe (..hope anyway) they're planning on using his slightly more modern origin story...
Spoiler:
which has him down as a rival for Carol's affections with Hal at Ferris aircraft, and then he is actually mutated and chanegd by radiation/plot device from thr same crashed spaceship that brings Abin Sur to earth and therefore Hal his ring.
..let's hope anyway.
... Everyone see those pictures of the Infinity Gauntlet from the Thor movie .. what the hell.. ? I wonder if that is related to the Avengers movie perhaps.
In other news it seems that they are laying plots down that link Captain America and Thor as well. Clips shown at San Diego apparently show the Red Skull, in WW II, breaking into an old castle..perhaps searching for the cosmic cube.. looking for 1 of Odin's treasures. Apparently.
