In the comics, Jon Stewart was a whiny bitch.
On the Daily Show, Jon Stewart is a whiny bitch.

nice!
I think Stewart is funnier than Colbert, but both have their moments.

I only know him from the Justice League Cartoon. For the first two seasons he was the most boring Lantern I've ever seen, but he got better in Unlimited.

Yeah. I guess the Stewart character suffered through depression from his fething up and allowing an entire planet to die, followed a few years later by his alien wife being killed by (BALEETED).
Then he went to angsty/whiny mode.
Then he went to sullen, quiet type in the modern comics and cartoon. RE: Boring.
Anyway, he's certainly a capable GL, and deserves the ring more than that prick Guy Gardner.
I notice that no one has brought up Kyle, yet. Nor Kilawog or the muscrat guy. Or Gnort. Know why? They suck.

Re: the Infinity Gauntlet and Cosmic Cube, it appears Marvel may be using MacGuffins in both Cap and the Avengers. I guess that's okay. One of the IGN guys described the Cap proto-trailer as Saving Private Ryan meets Raiders of the Lost Ark.
And (back on topic) I think Hector Hammond is just fine for the first movie. They're taking the Batman Begins approach. Use the first movie to set things up and don't use your best villain right off the bat. Hector Hammond = Scarecrow and Parallax = Ra's Al Ghul.

The problem with Stewart in JL animated was, that all he did with his rings were shield bubbles and lasers. Maybe a wall. That has to be the most uncreative use of the ring I've ever seen.
And what's wrong with Kyle? I like him, he's fun. He's the perfect guy for the Ring. But yes, Gardner's a prick.

Kyle is just what Hal was when he first got the ring. Full of piss and vinegar and trying to learn how to use it without fething up royally.
It's been done in GL, is all. I didn't want to go through that again. I'm sure he's capable, but I bailed after issue 50.

I like how creative Kyle is with his powers. Like, attaching a cartoon rocket by chain to the foot of his enemy.

I forgot about MOGO. He was in one of the Annuals. There was a guy searching for him for years on the planet, mapping it out. Then, he combined his maps and realized that the planet was the GL. Then he rocketed away pretty fast. Probably left skid marks...

kronk wrote:Nor Kilawog What you talkin' 'bout, Poozer? Kilowog's the MAN! I'm surprised no one's mentioned Salaak, yet, though, either. Sure, he's essentially the Guardians' personal assistant(sorry, chief administrator and keeper of the Book of Oa), but when he actual gets in on the action, he's one of the best. Plus, he took over the entire Corps when the Guardians went MIA during Blackest Night.

http://www.bleedingcool.com/2010/08/21/meet-some-more-alien-green-lanterns/
Question: How many alien Green Lanterns have they designed for the movie?
Answer: Loooooads. CBM say there’s “at least two dozen” with “centre stage roles” and all 3,600 will appear in some sense. That’s either some very small, indistinguishable characters getting a pixel or two each or a good number of crowd shots
