I'm sorry, what? Wound allocation is specifically endorsed by the GW in the entry, and ramming's exists proves GW wants it to. By that logic, building a Tau army in Warhammer 40k is a rules abuse because it uses the shooting rules too much.
I think Stelek was the better player here, but I think Stelek got lucky too. Like he said, "So in the end, me sucking at killing BW worked out in my favor as the 60 foot Orks never really mattered." I see that Stelek lacked anti-infantry in quantities sufficient to immediately kill 60 Orks, and that could have been his down fall. If the Ork player had disembarked and swarmed the Piranahs and Crysis Suits he'd have been in a much better spot. Instead he wasted time ramming skimmers and only disembarked his squads one at a time.
I agree with ChrisCP entirely in his breakdown of the Ork's list.

I don't think that either list was bad, I just think that Ork VS Tau is generally in Tau's favor, I've not lost against orks, tied one time at a smaller point value. at 2500 I love how effective the Tau are vs orks. I find that killing transports, staying mobile and focusing fire is the key to beating orks.

What I find really strange is one doesn't hear about wound allocation 'abuse' with bloody Thunder Wolf Cavalry. Sure 5 S/S is scary but so's 6 wounds against S5T5 for a model down.

This is a test to fix the thread for me. When I double posted I broke the second page so that it only displayed my post. I've tried clearing the cache, logging out, restarting my browser, computer and router. As I'm posting this the last post I see is still my own.
Well, here's hoping.

Darkhound and ChrisCP are correct, quiet simply this is not the best list the ork player could have put on the table, and Stelek played a solid Tau list with superior tactics. These 2 factors won him the game.
