Fantastic concept. Have the Community do the Painting for you. I need to steal that one.
Volunteer Painted, you say? I didn't think there would be as enthusiastic a response as this!
Anyway, real nice. Give us an Army Shot!
Edit: Hold on, I could do a UK Version of this.

More pictures!
iPAINTminis over on Bartertown took on 6 models for this project.. initially asked for 2, but it just kept growing!
Brother Jeramiah - Black Templars
Brother Josiah - Howling Griffons
Brother Collazo - Templars Omega
and
Brother Sergeant Jerez - Angels Porphyr
He also painted my 2 Headquarters choices..
Inquisitor Spielman - Librarian - seconded over from the Order of St. Ursula (same color as my Sisters of Battle army)
and my commander...
Detachment Commander Peter Singer - Fire Lords (Counts-as Chapter Master Pedro Kantor)
Once again, I MUST give huge props to the Chapterhouse Studios guys.. without their line of shoulderpads, this project would not have even gotten started!
So far, I have used their pads on the Howling Griffons, Fire Lords, Star Fox, and Blood Drinker marines, plus several other chapters that are out being worked on now.

That is a Bolter from the Black Templar upgrade sprue. Brother Collazo also has one from that sprue as well. BT bolt guns and chainswords ALSO have chains.. they look really snazzy.
Thanks everyone!

I'm going back to my normal residence tommorow, and I'll be painting your marines (Salamander Vanguard and Star Dragon Apothecary) for a few hours solid. so expect the marine to be arriving later in the week.
My brother has declined to paint the Star Dragon (because he doesn't think that he can paint the details on the model accurately enough) so it will also be painted by me, it can be called Apothecary Cal and the vanguard can be Brother Storm.

monkeytroll here on DD, provided a homebrew chapter
Brother Sergeant Zac - Bloodfist Chapter
WingZ has done
Brother Sean - Angels Sanguine
and illustrious Bartertown Moderator Imp522 did 2 more models for me with a Skull Motif..
Brother Atreus - Silver Skulls
(sorry for the blur)
and..
Brother Malik - Crimson Skulls
and for those who have asked.. the day is coming soon when the forces of Inquisitor Speilman will take the field against the foe! Now that I have enough Elites and HQ to make up the bulk of the force, I need to finish the Troops.. which is a bit harder to find volunteers for.. lol. At the moment, I think I have 28 completed figures in the army...
I will be doing a proper battle report, but I don't want to have to field bare metal or plastic Scout Sniper units..

Glory to the Twelfth! Glory to Angron!
"Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."
—Captain Khârn of the World Eaters Legion's 8th Assault Company, from his unpublished treatise The Eighteen Legions |
