I wish we had, I wore my Dakka shirt but didn't meet anyone new. John Blanche liked it though. My big achievements were getting his autographs on my old Realms of CHaos books and complimenting Abnett on his Death's Head II comic from 20 years ago.

@Bob: I understand the hate. Not everyone gets as good a Codex as the Space Wolves all three times they have made it. I will be happy when the Dark Eldar do actually land on a shelf. They need it more than anyone else in my opinion.
ThunderWolves are cool though, you have admit it. hehehe!!!

Oh come on, don't sulk! I was just asking if anything else was mentioned besides what you said about it likely having a focus on Tzeentch and Slaanesh. Honestly, I'm really more of a Khorne and Nurgle fan, but with the amazingness that FW does I might jump on board for a few units of those other two Gods, even if they aren't my faves. I'd especially like to see a variety of daemon engines for all the Gods from Chaos. Might give GW a few ideas on how to think outside the box when it comes to making a daemon army for 40k.

Lol Kan would it be a bad time to mention I still like the design of the original eldar phantom better
In defense of both sides, A it would be nice to hear about things a bit further in advance, definitely. It makes for more goodwill and more interest from the fanbase. On the other hand though, GW does mitigate it's pr risks by staying clammed shut. It also eliminates any possible positive buzz on the other side of the coin.
Still, I think we can all agree, more news keeps us interested and involved. Even if it's just to argue about it lol.

Haha, he said they're honestly not sure what would come out as far as Chaos stuff in the future. But he said its for sure going to be Tzeentch and Slaanesh. If I had to guess, I would bet on some conversion kits for marines and termies, and maybe a new DP for each god. But that's pure speculation on my part.
Come to think of it, they blew a good opportunity to do a Slaanesh vs. Eldar campaign for IA11. But nope, Space Puppies are more important than the Porn Marines.
MajorTom11 wrote:Lol Kan would it be a bad time to mention I still like the design of the original eldar phantom better
Honestly, until we get better detail shots of the Phantom, I'm going to have to agree with you. I love the old Armorcast Phantom. Probably the only model they put out that still sits well with the current models in terms of appearance.

Of course not! It's personal preferences. For example:
I loathe Cadian models built straight out of the box or with Pig Iron stuff. Add in the Forge World respirator kits though...and my gods. Some of the best models I've ever laid eyes on. Something about that faceless anonymity they get from the full visored faces makes them seem...more right.

Well that's honestly exactly what I would expect as well. It seems like a no-brainer for them to do Noise Marine and Thousand Sons power armored and terminator kits, along with princes. However, I'd really like to see conversion kits for princes based off the new plastic daemon prince kit. It's a bit of a stretch, but I think it could be really cool. One can also hope for daemon engines like the Blight Drone and Blood Slaughterer models that they did for Nurgle and Khorne. The mind boggles at the possibilities for a Slaanesh daemon engine.
I'd also like for them to just bypass GW and put out a decent Chaos list that incorporates Chaos marines and real daemons again. I know they tend to follow GW in terms of army composition in their books, but as a Chaos player it's hard to get behind the current Chaos related codexes, just because they are so bland in comparison to most of the newer 5th edition books.

Why is it so offensive that GW is super secretive, anyway?
Are you talking about blizzard entertainment? The guys that had an open and closed beta for WoW? The company that maintains a persistent test realm for their customers to play with what's coming out next as they're working on it?
They announced Starcraft 2 almost 3 years before they released it.

Blizzard's policy would only be comparable to GW's if we heard that they were working on SC2 3 months before it hit the streets because they had to give skus to their retailers.

I either wasn't clear on my point or you missed the point. Maybe both. Not really trying to compare Blizz and GW, just saying that companies use their own levels of secrecy and go by their own release schedule, maybe not to the extent of GW, but different rules for different industries. Regardless, there is another thread to take this OT stuff away from this discussion.
