1k Sons Terminator pads are awesome! I may have to tear the pads off my current terminators and replace them with the scarabs. So cool.

I really dig the Tervigon conversion kit. It stays true to the codex, and that's something I can appreciate. I like the idea of adding Termagant models to the birthing canals. Hopefully, for the sake of my wallet, the price ends up being closer to $20 than $30. If so, it will probably be my first Chapterhouse purchase.

I am planning on using the larger talons to balance it, regardless, the Carnifex model does not balance either, I would suggest gluing it to the base

The master was not that heavy, it actually stayed glued to the base until I was messing with it and it busted off, I was in a hurry to send it off for molding, so just used the glue cap to hold it up.

Resin will be 10x lighter then the greenstuff is. Worst case scenario, use superglue and maybe pins to the solid base.

That Tervigon looks a tad top heavy. If this is still "in progress" try leaning it over with one of the pairs of talons acting as supports. Everything else looks beautiful though

Some problems with the Tervigon model come from the awkward pose. A pregnant super-heavy monster shouldn't try to rear or jump like a gazelle. Most official and conversion pics show the Tervigon lumbering on all 6 limbs, closing the gap at the hip, balancing the model and not exposing the ... erm ... birthing canals, making the model look much better.

Good observation. I wonder how difficult it would be to simply re-position the legs to give it an appropriate stance...

Really like the tactical rhino doors. Take it the arrow will be centerd and a seem will be added before moulding? Be a shame if not, As it will let down a very cool product.

those thousand sons terminator pads look very very good on that model! I think it was matthew Cleaver? who had a thousand sons army in WD a couple of years back from tasmania, and they'd look nuts on his models they were pretty darn good!

I kinda like the tervigon kit, and if the price is right it might be my first Chapterhouse purchase, too. Or rather the first 2-3 purchases.

It does look top heavy, but so does damn near every other tervigon conversion, in my opinion. When you're working with the carnifex kit as a base there's no real way to fix that other than resculpting the legs, which would have made the kit even more expensive.

A note to all the naysayers regarding the "tervitits", they aren't a decision that was made purely by the sculptor...look at the original art for the Tervigon:

Also, those complaining about top-heaviness...really? You're going to complain about top heaviness...

Not to mention 90% of every other Tervigon conversion out there...I honestly don't think it's possible to make a non-top heavy Tervigon if it includes the use of a Carnifex kit (that resembles the one in the codex, not some quadraped or snake thing). If you don't like the look of the disgorged stomach, it's a seperate piece, so you could always fill in where it's supposed to go with some epoxy sculpt and greenstuff and make your own alternative (that's what I plan to do if I order one and decide I don't like the look of it.)

Long story short, I guess I don't understand alot of the complaints with the Tervigon...perhaps the execution of the birth canals was a little "eh" but if it's resin, that will be easy to file down, cover up, and make your own alternative.

I think we should see what it looks like completed after molding before we automatically pass judgement on it. You never know, something as simple as lowering the torso so he's not so upright and maybe adding some Trygon talons might bring it together more.

Oh... This one's gonna go downhill fast...

I can see it now...

"Sgt. Hamblin!"

"Sir"

"I order your squad to fire on that approaching Tervigon!"

"Sir, yes, Sir!"

"Alright you maggots! You all heard the LT! On my mark, bedazzle that thing's va-jay-jay!!"

Or... We could go with the more fiscally prudent route...

"Men, ammunition's low, so we have to make every shot count! Don't fire until you see the... Ugh... Oh, never mind..."

I'm sorry but I am VERY disappointed with the tervigon. The kit' although great sculpting, is just boring and doesn't look good with parts from a fex. I'm sorry it is also very boring. I know you had to make it like the codex but regardless, it isn't very good and there are plenty of other ideas that could have been executed. In fact, most people don't even care for the codex art, so why make it like that? I'm sorry but it is ugly in a bad way.

Those Pre-Heresy Terminator Pads?

Awesome!

Remove the 1K Sons stuff, maybe add in some leather tassels/straps/etc, and I predict you will sell many!

Actually, you are VERY dissapointed by GW's Tervigon art. Yes, it is a boring variant of the Carnifex, but it is the official look. Chapterhouse's model wants to keep close to the official concept, make it a conversion kit (both essential for GW tournament participation!) and affordable. All this is achieved.

There are other kits on sale or in the works, that look VERY differently, maybe better, but also are much more expensive (and larger) and not usable on GW tournaments. You can always chose those if you don't like the official look.

Actually, the proper term would be something rhyming on Termagant

Yes, shame on you Chapterhouse Studios! How dare you make a model that actually looks like its codex entry rather than some stupid looking (no offense to anyone) fan interpretation that people have to inquire to find out what the feth it's supposed to be.

No I actually really like the tervigon art. I don't care for the this model. Maybe when I see a painted version.

I think it is a bit premature to concentrate on the stance of the Tervigon. Like I said before, I just dry fit it and really did not try much to situate the model.

Mine will be hunched over a bit more with a simple lowering of the angle of the back torso.

When can we expect them to be released? And have you given any thought on pricing (more towards $20 or $30)?

Release will be as soon as they hit production, they should start in a week. Pricing honestly depends most on cost to cast, which I wont know till the molds are made.

I know this may be somewhat immature of me, but why does it look like the tervigon has boobs? Even in GW art...

I do like the Blood Raven shoulder pad however. It has a nice flair to it. If I were to start a C:SM chapter, I'd want to use that painted in my own style.
