Newly uploaded painted shots of my Tervigon Kits.

Available for purchase here for $22.50!

The kit is designed to fit with the Carnifex plastic kit with little to no modification.

Also being worked on is a rather ambitious Tyranid Spore Pod. I will admit to being a little afraid of what this beast of a model will cost to produce. It is undergoing some modifications (with a very handy dremel tool) to lose as much unnecessary material as possible.

Also up for release next week are some new Blood Raven Shoulder pads, this time around the blood drops are actually dropping

A generic pad that is a chained shoulder pad.

A couple of space marine heads that would fit well with either chaos armies or even Legion of the damned - sold as single bits.

A couple of Mantis Warrior heads, sure to be popular with the new Imperial Armor book showcasing the Badab War.

Finally some Thousand Sons pads for all you poor 1k sons players. These are mostly catering to Preheresy.

Our first awesome Preheresy Terminator Pads, this time around for Thousand Sons.

Vehicle Kits are pretty light this month, but we have 4 items for you guys.

Space Wolf Rhino Kit #2 (will include armored panels)

Dragon Rhino Kit (set of 2 side doors and 1 front)

Something that all Space Marine Players can use - Tactical Rhino Doors

For all you flame and fire nuts (and Sisters of Battle/Witch Hunters) some flaming Braziers that can be mounted on vehicles or any flat surface (door not included)

So its been a pretty good month here, I am real excited over the Tervigon kit and Hope to have 4 painted up for my army in a couple of weeks.

As always feel free to post or email me questions to nick@chapterhousestudios.com.

Sincerely,
Nick

Your second head is cool, but the first just seems... idk odd. As per the thousand sons that stuff is great. The tervigon seems really rather plain with a lot of the conversions out there already.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Well the good part vs all those "a lot of the conversions out there already" that are commercially made is ours uses the GW Carnifex kit so they should be totally Legal in GW tournaments.

I have no doubt a painted up kit will be awesome (dont make a judgement based off a pre-production Green).

Glad to see the 1kSons love. Those pre-Heresy Termie shoulder pads are nice. Probably have to put an order in.

But I have to admit I'm not a fan of your pre-H 1kSons Legion Symbol pads. I know you need to steer clear of GW's IP, but those look too different from the "official" pre-H 1kSons symbol to tempt me.

Still, 1kSons love is always good!

Very Very cool Terminator pads...any ideas as to what others of that type you plan to do in the not so distant future?

So, how top-heavy is this Tervigon going to be? I guess if it's resin it's not much of a problem?

I love the wings on the Blood Raven pad. Very nice.
Usually I find GW's motif of people wearing fire like a hat to be pretty silly... but it makes more sense for guys in ceramite power armour to do that than anyone else, I guess. I like that the bazier sort of looks like a crown, and I think there's some really cool potential in that extended nose design... something is just a tiny bit off and keeping it from truly popping. I hope you guys will continue to explore that.

I love the pre-Heresy terminator pads.
For the most part, I really like the SW doors. I think SWs end up looking a good deal less silly when their iconography is crude metal (as opposed to just piling pelts on everything. ) One thing though- do they come already attached to those panels? Because the rivets on the last one being in the exact place to put pupils in the eyes is making it read like a cartoon character for me. IMHO, it so defangs the icon that if I played spacewolves and couldn't easily file them off I'd never use that door.

I like the vehicle brazier, too. For some reason vehicles with fire don't bother me. Just flaming hats. I may want to get some for Fantasy terrain. Do you sell whole baziers? Would the half-brazier pictured work well if you stuck two together back-to-back?

Oh my god...I finally have a use for that old Carnifex kit lying in my closet.

I love the look of the Tervigon conversion kit. It's very close to the look in the codex.

Only thing I'm going to point out is the price. I know these are high quality kits, but $30? That's going to run you close $80 (with shipping of the kit) per Tervigon. If I were you, in the spectrum of $20-$30 per kit, I would lean more towards the $20-$25 range...$30 is just too much. I mean that's 2/3 the cost of a Carnifex and all you're getting is a torso (not that said torso is not awesome).

I am definitely ordering one, though. When can we expect this beauty to be released? And are there any thoughts on possibly making some larger talons to go with the kit?

I hope this is an omen that we might see a Tyrannofex kit as well.

Also, who's the sculptor if you don't mind me asking?

In all honesty, I don't like the Tervigon conversion that much due to the fatty chest, but I may end up buying one or two because it creates an excellent base for further detailing and conversions especially if it ends up costing $20.

I'm not a fan of the warts and nasties on the carapace; I prefer my non-Venomthrope Tyranids to be clean; even the Trygon and Harridan have cleaner carapaces. Additionally, I really do not like the gooey fatty chest that makes the entire body disproportionately top-heavy. However, with a file the top carapace, the top shield, and the head-hole are great pieces; I hope to be able to buy said pieces.

EDIT: Oh, the Tervigon comes with a base! The picture you show doesn't have the best casting of a base, but that saves me a significant amount of effort. I'm sure you can sell many $20 kits on the base and ease alone.

Seriously this time, those pictures are "in-progress" right? Because those central vents look like they could use some more work.

The "birthing canals" are pretty weird.

The first brazier head looks really weird.
The second one is really cool but suffers from "two top vents for no reason" syndrome. It's really too bad, those things are kinda odd.

The shoulder pads all look pretty good.

The rhino braziers look like they might be way too big to put on a vehicle, they'd stick out super far.
The tactical arrows are cool.

I'm in love with the 1k sons Terminator Pads, and will be ordering up a goodly amount for the Scarab Guard! Of course, I would be remiss if I didn't include some of the normal 1k sons pads as well. I also like the Rhino Doors.

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

I like both chaos heads and the brazier, gonna be great on word bearer tanks. I also think the Tervigon looks plain.
The Thousand sons Pre-Heresy termi shoulder pads are cool even if I don't really like pre-heresy termi pads.

Under the couch

Not a fan of the Tervigon, sorry. Way too top heavy, and the wais is too skinny and looks like it doesn't go togther quite right (exposed ball joint).

The arrow on the rhino top hatch is crooked, and it doesn't look like the hatch can actually open, which could cause some problems for the guys inside...

Other than that, some nice stuff. Love the heads, and the brazier is all sorts of cool.

Remember for the most part all of our larger kits are resin, so they are easily modified (exactos unsheath!).

The ball joint on the Tervigon should NOT be exposed, at this point I was dry fitting it, and it was held in place by friction, I did not want to push the joint all the way in to mess with the master.

The central vents should come out fine, Greenstuff has a way a magnifying everything especially with a flash on.

My goal was to stay true to the pictured tervigon in the codex. Personally I am not a big fan of all the wierd models, I dont like being asked what my mini is supposed to be, this way its obvious.

Of course there are other options out there, for a large amount of money. That and I also have the useless carnifexes in my closet, now I have something I can use them for.

I am iffy on the flaming head myself, but my sculptor wanted to do it.

The rivets on the space wolf face are easily removed, like I said its resin.

We will probably do a large number of pre heresy terminator pads. These are our first and we are working on some plain ones now with large surfaces to paint or sculpt on for you guys.

Sincerely,
Nick

Those look great Nick! Not a tryannid fan so I can't comment on the tervigon, but the pads, chaos heads (especially the bottom one) and the doors are very cool. They make me regret not choosing to use tracked vehicles in my army.

Not Nipples, they are Termagant Birth Holes.. or I could go into specifics and use the scientific literature.

I am going to have GW Termagants coming out of mine.

And yes those are termagant heads and arms trying to come out of the sides of the belly. She is swollen with them and they are pushing out of the skin..

Plain would be awesome, can't wait to see them, even if it means my terminators go sans shoulder pads for a while longer.
