I really like the scheme you've chosen on the Kabalite, very unique compared to the others I've seen!
the white will get weathered... still trying to figure out how i'll do it (trying to find how to do it on my weapons too)

I suppose the "salt" technique doesn't get with small surfaces?

Nice job on the warrior, btw!!

its hard to limit it, since you gotta spray over it afterward.

i'll try different approach. Not sure which yet, but i'll probably go for a more standard rust technique

Might not masking tape work?

I have/work on these: Army and SOG of and a tiny group of (killzone) and some and last some and a gang of Cryx + Others...

I did rust them a bit.... might need more, but its a start. I think it looks ok, but the patch color would need to be a bit more orange.

Weapon would most likely stays like that.

The question now : what color for the hairs and the leather Boots/gloves ?

No, the OSL in the eye in pretty nice!!! Maybe you could just add a small highlight to the upper brow, so that it matches the lower one, and that's be perfect!!!

i wanted to try some OSL on the dark lance (Ravager's weapons) too, might give it a try now.

Yes, give it a try... You sure got the basics, it should turn out well with a bit more practice!!!

Wow... Just wow. The ravager really looks the part! The one thing I would say, or suggest if I may, is that you line the individual panels and recesses with a couple of shade of watered down brown paint/wash. It would really make the whole thing pop. Just my two pennies worth. Anyways, awesome work - keep it up!

here you go. Final detail completed. That's basically how i'd paint my army. Thinking about gloss varnish for the leather, so it looks like latex (and because i dont like to highlight black with grayish).

Just wanna say, I love the colour scheme for these, and I think the rust makes them stand out from all of the other clean and sharp dark eldar armies that seem to be standard. Its a nice reminder that these guys manufacture their weapons and equipment from metal rather than grow it from wraithbone like the craftworld eldar.
Also, the glowing eyes look fantastic, no need to worry
Keep up the good work!

Keep in mind you can highlight black with any color, just blend from darkest to lightest, you can literally use any color you want just avoid greys and whites. Experiment around to see what works best, I prefer my blacks to be highlighted with a mix of Kommando Khaki instead of a grey or true white if I want them to stay "black." You could easily blend in some purples or even browns for some contrast that would still keep the pallette the same(to match the rusty bits).

Just random ideas. Regardless, that DE looks great. You pulled off the OSL on the eyes wonderfully. I totally dig the color and rust scheme you have going on. Keep it up!

I love the glowing green effect and the purple streaking. This all a very awesome idea and awesome color scheme. I have to make one comment though about the white with rust. I think it looks a little clashy the way it is now, with the white looking so new and vibrant, yet covered in rust. I think you should try to dull down the white a little more so that it doesn't get a toasted marshmallow effect. It's kinda like the white is too brand new looking to have rust yet. Maybe try sepia wash on those parts?

Sorry, know it's a bit late, but have you tried sponge weathering? It's a trick I picked up this year, and it is an extremely quick and easy way to chip up armor. One shot with a sponge and one light wash will go a long way! Not sure If you are settled on your technique yet, just thought I would chip in.

Warrior is looking very nice! As Yggie said, the osl turned out really well

oh no.

but i tried the sponge on the warrior, and had trouble reaching the little white part. Maybe it would work on vehicle weapons, since there's more surface.

Ya it can be tough to do once the arms are on. I sliced up some blister sponges and stuck them on the ends of old brushes. The sponges were tiny, a bit easier to handle and see too, so they manages to get in most spots. Anyhow, I look forward to seeing this progress!

Very nice rust. I had some reservations after the first couple of pics, but the overall effect on the raider was really cool. Have you thought about trying to weather the sails at all? I am not sure about the fluff for them (if they are actually a clothlike material or not), but it looks slightly strange having a totally rusted out frame, then having pristine sails. If they are pure energy then maybe having faded spots or something like that, and with cloth making the edges a little tattered might complete the look.

The warrior has great weathering on the white, but I think if you put a few well placed chips in the darker areas of the armor it might really pull the look together. Either way your stuff looks fantastic, keep up the good work!

Since the rest of my army wont be here before the 30th, i started working on bases. I'm going for an industrial look, with relatively the same paint technique as my Reaver, except that i think i'll switch the white with black.

Some WIP, still considering adding more skull, rubles, etc...

the size is slightly off (a bit too big), but still look industrial enough to me.
