I'll post some more pictures once the highlighting is done on the new scheme and get your opinions again - in person the models look much better imo.

I have work tomorrow so I won't get much done... but hey - it was a productive weekend.

I am really happy with the new scheme - the other one just make me angry :|

For the Orange colour hair all I did was a base coat of Macharius Solar Orange, then a leviathan purple wash, then another coat of Macharius Solar Orange to make it a nice crisp colour.

I'm sorry I ever doubted you! That new scheme looks great! It's much 'softer' than the last one, and you haven't lost any armour detail at all! The orange looks great too.

New scheme looks great I love the dryad pieces on the bases. Growing out of the warriors is a bit odd. Wytchs look killer aswell!

lovely paint job especially like the orange and pale blue green and cool basing . like the owl a lot.

Finally I give you the completed wych for my first unit.

I am in the process of batch painting the rest of the unit.

Also - I only just discovered that scaly green is out of production... when did that happen?!?! This last pot has to paint my entire army :( unless I find an alternative.

Anywho:

This is a shot of the skin tone that I settled on.

nice and simple as well. Goes like this: Deneb Stone - Leviathan purple wash - Deneb stone - ogryn flesh wash - Deneb stone... done!

If Scaly Green is no longer available, you could look at using a Vallejo (who make similar colours to GW) or Coat d'Arms (who I heard manufacture the GW paints and have the out of stock ones) replacement. Maelstrom sells both.

The wych looks great! Are you going to paint her gun similar to the rifles?
