Just bought and watched Shutter Island, bloody good film, but yeah i worked out the 'twist' in about 5 minutes, its not anything you dont see coming im afraid.
Couple of things did catch me out:
Spoiler:
1)Sheehan being Chuck,
2)that Andrew killed Dolores (dunno why this surprised me )
And
Spoiler:
Was it just me, or does he go willingly at the end?

.. nice enough, good cast and it tottled along well enough. Nowhere near as funny as Shaun or Hot Fuzz though. Few genuine giggles in it however.
The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

That's a shame - I was going to watch it at some point seeing as they have been plugging the hell out of it on Sky movies but I guess I shall wait for the regular Sky/Terrestrial channels to show it...
It strikes me as exactly the sort of DVD that will be very cheap in HMV/wherever in a very short time. Worth picking up for that reduced amount, but not worth full price IMO.
It's not bad per se, I'll happily watch it again, but it's not great either. Too many knob jokes and some of the characters are oddly unsympathetic compared to previous efforts. Almost a bit lazy in parts it struck me.
.. does make San Diego Comic Con look even more awesome.
one day....

IIRC he uses his partners real name before he dies so the twist is that he does become sane but then just chooses to be operated on
Spoiler:
He doesnt use his name, but he does make a few odd comments and looks that kind of give it away (going with the handlers before being asked for example struck me as odd if he didnt know what was happening)

We just recently became NetFlix junkies. And the other night I watched a movie called Ink. Pretty trippy, its basically a battle of good vs. evil. The good guys aare the ones that bring good dreams to people, and the incubi bring nightmares and such. This weird dude named Ink steals a little girls soul and the movie is about him trying to get her soul to the incubi so he can become one of them, and the good guys are trying to get her soul back and fight off the incubi. Totally watchable, infact its one of those movies where the more you think on it, the more you like about it.

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

Well, sure it wasn't excellent, but it was WAAY more fun than Schindlers list!

[spoiler]He just didn't want to live with what he did. He shos it by asking his doc something like, "Is it better to die a good man, or live as a monster?". He would rather keep his false persona of being a good guy and "die" via lobotomy, than live with the reality of what he did.[spoiler]
Automatically Appended Next Post: Sorry to screw up the spoiler, I never tired it before.

Ink sounds pretty cool, I'll have to check that out.
Recently watched In Bruges again. It starts out pretty slow and takes its sweet time through most of the rest, but it's a pretty good British-gangster black comedy.
I just watched The Experiment last night. It was pretty good, makes you think a little bit. I know the original was Das Experiment done in germany but it's a dvd only thing on netflix and my roomate is the one with the subscription.
Just watched paul for the 20th time best film ever
Tali'Zorah: I appreciate what you're doing here, Shepard.
Commander Shepard: Well, I care deeply about the quarian people.
Tali'Zorah: It's good to be back on the Normandy.
Commander Shepard: Let me know if it's too quiet for you to sleep, and I'll find you someplace louder.
Tali'Zorah: Hmm.
Garrus Vakarian: Uh, I was there when you two had your thing, remember? Just get a room and work it out.
May the the blessings of His Grace the Emperor tumble down upon you like a golden fog. (Only a VERY select few will get this reference. And it's not from 40k. )
I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.
Just finished watching Paul and the Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Paul - fantastic, I am a big Pegg and Frost fan, although I know its not quite as funny as the rest of their stuff it was done for a bit more of a mass market so I am willing to allow. Loved the sci fi references all the way through it.
Benjamin Button - I really enjoyed it, lovely story told beautifully, mostly predicable but executed well.
If your going to do something wrong, do it right!!!!

Walking to shops, "i'll take a short cut through this bush", random encounter! Lizard with no legs.....
I kid Since i avoid bushlands that is But we're not that bad... are we?
Last film I saw at the cinema was Pirates of the Carribean 4, which was incredibly dissapointing. The story line was lazy and even the action sequences seemed a little dull. I really hope they end the franchise with that one.
DVD wise, Swordfish which was just as awesome as I remember.
I saw Super 8 the other night. It was really good, I'd recommend it.
I also saw Thor a few weeks ago, and it was pretty good too, but I feel like it may have been done mostly to introduce the character to a wider audience, since they're making the Avengers movie next year.
