I agree. I was irked when trying to make a 10 man Psyker squad for my IG and only having 3 models to choose from.
At least both the Medusae and Ur-Ghul come with two heads per blister so you could have some variation, but entirely different sculpts would be appreciated.
The medusae is just a brain slug anyway isn't it? You should be able to put that head on almost any model and have it work thematically. The pack is basically just giving you two medusae if you have a warrior to spare somewhere.
Solid point. Hm. That got my conversion gears spinning.
I still want some more variation in my Psyker Squad, though.

It's okay. They're AU$33. Which is about $US34.
Australia - where everything is more extreme.
Even GW's prices.
Umm, I'm fairly sure Japan wins in the most ridiculous pricing department. Product is so expensive here that we buy from the Aussies for the savings it give. Obviously joking, but have a look at the numbers.
You want 3 little banners? Okay sure that'll be ¥2700. According to the exchange rate is ... $35.20 USD... So Aussie's...you guys sure are lucky getting away with such low prices...riiiight.

I'm confused a bit.
How many banners are people actually going to need for a complete, multigod army?
I can see it being "really expensive" if you're running all Tzeentch or Khorne, but otherwise 3 banners should cover all your Horror units shouldn't it?

And we all know that GW doesn't price anything based on "how many you need for an army", right?
One pack gives you a 'unique' standard for 3 separate full sized units, or one Battle Standard Bearer. They think pricing it like that is reasonable.

I like the herald. But it would of been much more awesome if it had a nice scenic base and disc, since not everyone uses the disc.
Icon's hmm pricy, but Since I am also starting warriors of chaos, will pick some up. They will help with diversity in my forces.
Battalion. I have about 50 horrors, 30 letters and daemonetts. And I think I should add more eventually. Seekers I've not bought, but look tempting for 40k, and starting to get a look see for fantasy. A large block of 15, and having the disc rider stay 3 inches away so he keeps his look out sir could be awesomesauce.

On a related note, Wayland made mention on their FB page that they had taken stock of a new batch of Finecast and would be making a statement (presumably to explain if they were/weren't going to go back to stocking it).
The statement was never made (to the best of my knowledge). Likewise, they have been promising updates to their RoW section for literally months now and still no word (the blurb on their website still says the same thing as it did when they made the RoW section back in the UK May bank holiday I believe).
Anyone got any further info as to what is going on there? It doesn't affect me directly but their customer comms seem to have been a bit poor recently.
From the FB Page, comment on 2nd August:
Wayland FB Page wrote:
Finecast Update: We have taken deliveries of Finecast that will be subject to the same assessment as before. We’ll let you know the result and if it’s the hoped for positive, stock levels will be added to the store.

Really not a fan of the fella on the disc, but the standards look great. I hope they start doing that for other armies too. I'd buy them for a dollar!
I also really think it would be nice if when they do these new waves of models for any given army, the also re-release the battle magic cards, for the kids who missed out the first time around.

Well, aside from the high price and the apparent quality issue, I'm always happy when GW releases any model for an army that I might be interested in purchasing in a form that is not metal.
F ing metal flamers of Tzeentch....
But the more pressing issue for me now is this: does anyone now know if they'll be releasing the Plaguebearers in finecast or plastic any time soon?

I don't know, Aduro... as far as things go, the new DE line is quite reasonably priced... even compared to other GW ranges.
It helps that so much of it is plastic... obviously, the finecast parts of it are up there with all the other finecast costs (i.e., quite high...)

Yes, that might be the reason, but that's not high demand, that's low production. That's how I think GW advertising works.
I have some models myself, and while the detail is better than the metal versions, the errors and the material being too easy to bend don't appeal to me. If with time they increase their efforts in quality control, it might be good.

Oh well, that is a disappointment.
The Daemon battle force isn't really that interesting, the Daemonttes are pointless and the Seekers aren't very useful. The Tzeentch herald is a hideous model and with a price that is worse than the look on the models disturbing face, all of the banners are far too expensive.
In the end, GW's price are worse than driving drunk with two eye patches and no set belt on a motor way during a dark busy night.

With the pricing of the Tzeentch Banners and Herald on Disc, i'm glad i've already got my WoC Disc Sorcerer, and that I play Khornate CSM, and so have a good load of spare Tzeentch icons from the CSM box and vehicle upgrade sprues, else my Mono-Tzeentch Warriors would be a little bit effed.

Yeah, I've been wondering about that. I always found Maelstrom to be the better option (free shipping beats $ shippng). I've just been ordering stuff from bits merchants and small individual retailers in the US/ UK/Europe, mostly picking up metals I hadn't gotten around to buying yet. Also been ordering a fair whack of non- GW product from Maelstrom.
