Battle-standard's price is to high I think but the Herald looks Amazing!

Also just saw the pricing on the Greater Daemons... when did it jump by nearly 20%? They were close to 50$ last I'd seen

I like the Medusae. GW's policy of only doing one variant of low-count models like this is a bit baffling though.

The decrease in quality is worth an $8 increase in price apparently.

Also, $20 for three banners is bs, and if you actually think otherwise then please give me all your money so it doesn't go to waste.

Jesus, those banners are ridiculously overpriced. They are cool, but not $20 cool. I can justify $20 for almost any unit because at least it's a UNIT, not just a banner to replace a banner I already can use.

The battleforce doesn't look great for 40k. Most daemon armies aren't heavy into troops and this one totally lacks Nurgle which are pretty popular for that slot.

Seems fine for fantasy though. Lotta points in the box.

It's okay. They're AU$33. Which is about $US34.

I agree. I was irked when trying to make a 10 man Psyker squad for my IG and only having 3 models to choose from.

At least both the Medusae and Ur-Ghul come with two heads per blister so you could have some variation, but entirely different sculpts would be appreciated.

Well, Nurgle I am not surprised did not make it into the Battleforce as they still need to switch to plastic for them.

Prices on the Daemons MCs...might as well go Forgeworld or some other miniature company.

Love the court models, but I don't think I can drop FIFTEEN DOLLARS for a single model that isn't necessary. They really look great though. The brain sculpting really looks cool.

The Battleforce is not a terrible price. Keep in mind, your getting also almost all troops, which is fine if your going to be heavy Khorne/CC with emphasis on power weapons and high number of rending attacks.

The medusae is just a brain slug anyway isn't it? You should be able to put that head on almost any model and have it work thematically. The pack is basically just giving you two medusae if you have a warrior to spare somewhere.

They've been $57.75 for a while. For a good bit before Finecast ever came out.

I guess the Tzeentch icons will be my first Failcast purchase.

It's good for fantasy, but lack of nurgle daemons makes it pretty useless in 40k, and why seekers? Why not fiends, ditch the seekers for fiends and daemonettes for plagubearers, and it'll be worth the price of $175, I mean, you can use a bloodletter model for herald of khorne, a daemonette for herald of slaanesh, plaguebearer for herald of nurgle, ane either a pink horror, or, in my case, an old flamer with a beak for herald of tzeentch, you can use a seeker for a herald of slaanesh on a steed, a bloodcrusher for a herald on a juggernaut, as for the tzeentch and nurgle herald, why not be creative? I use tomb king chariots for my chariot of tzeentch, minus the skeletons, I don't understand why so many troops, bloodletters are decent in a 10 man squad, if not replacing the damonettes, drop 10 bloodletters for plaguebearers.

As for the herald, I prefer using older models that are out of production for heralds, like I said, I'm just fine using my old, beaked and bird-like flamers for heralds.

Because the Fiends and Plaguebearers aren't plastic?

The Tzeentch Herald looks really freaking stupid. Puts on the best 'derp' face it can... and not in a good way.
And holy gak, $46? What the hell is GW thinking?

The banners look cool, but anyone willing to spend $24 on them deserves to be flogged.

The two court models look okay, but no one's going to pay $20 for a single one of them. Especially when they suck so much in game and aren't exactly stellar enough to be worth buying on appearances alone.

Not only is this release underwhelming, but the prices have gone past simple naivety to plain stupidity. I don't know what's worse, the fact that GW thinks they can get away with prices like this, or that there are probably still people out there that will buy these kits at prices like this.

I was hoping that the leaked scan was missing the page with the Sslyth and Lhamaeans on, but no. £20 for two models that can't even be used legally, nice one GW.

The battalion look good but I would only use the bloodletters, and I've already got 60 of. I might buy the Dark Eldar Ur-Ghul and use as a Herald of Tzeentch.

Thanks, I didn't realise that.

Incidentally, I've been looking at the Finecast stuff fairly regularly, and the quality looks fine now. I bought the Hameonculous and it was almost perfect except for a small bubble on one of the feet. I think the real issue with Finecast will be its fragility - the Haemonculous is held up by a very slender tail.

I'm really hoping they'll release the other two! If so, I'll get some... eventually!

@Tailgunner- I thought so, but then I just went to buy a model for Kanluwen, and there was a noticeable difference in the model in the two sculpts that the store had... One had a bat that basically had no face :-/ just a blob of material. It's a bummer to need to be checking for those things... although I feel I'll get used to it, I definitely notice myself buying less blister models than I would otherwise.

The plastic blister releases, on the other hand, have been fantastic in sculpt and quality.
