I got all thi bits and everything I ordered... Hasslefree M41A Pulse Rifles (25mm) look darn small in the hands of the guard... I might have to convert the lasguns they have instead...
I have a larger pulse rifle from another maker that is better (28mm)
Also, I got a dozen Ripper Jacks from Necromunda (facehuggers!) for dynamic posing of the minis!

A few suggestions for you, would post links but can't on this computer, but I'm sure you can go look:
Dropship: Pardulon games in Germany do a rather nice "Dragonfly" gunship that may look better than a bodge-up of GW bitz.
Second city games, in UK, do resin not-valkyries, as do Old Crow models; Second city also do a "Aliens " apc.
For troops, try EM4's Future skirmish unpainted metal troopers, nice variety of poses and equipment on "light" infantry, ie not overburdened with flak vests etc.
Prince August, in Ireland, do a powerlifter in one of their "Warzone" armies.
Finally, there's a shop on ebay that's based in Russia, selling ROBOGEAR stuff: look under his other items and there are 28mm Aliens at about £8 for 5 IIRC.
Of course, none any good if you're into GW tournaments, but then Aliens ain't GW.

Yeah, I am aware of most of that...ROBOGEAR is new to me though....
However, I need to keep this 99% GW minis & bits.... The only game place even close to me is a GW store & the manager will not allow any other mini line in his store... Even a "themed" army like USCM or GOW or Halo is on the border of okay for him, as it is "...fringing on intelectual property..." he says... BUt he will allow it in his store.... (ooooh, thx...)

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

Someone once sent the same idea to GW: they converted guard troopers (cadian + catachan). They basically chopped up lasguns and bolter sand combined them together.
Luckily, I kept a picture:
You can sort of see where the chopping was done. It was like the upper front part of the lasgun was chopped away and the corresponding part on the boltgun was glued on.

the apc is looking good. I have a couple of points on it though. The front of the aliens one has some odd angles. I don't know how similar of a look you're going for or if you're just looking to do an homage though. Secondly, the wheels are on the outside of the hull, are you planning on integrating them into the side of the rhino?
Where are the wheels/turret from? I recognise a bottled water cap though the brand eludes me. For those of us who will want to do a build we would love to know things like what thinickness of plasticard, length of expansion, etc! Details!
Really good work so far!

This has so much potential it's awesome.
If you go with Ripley as an officer you've got to give her a combi-flamer. A pulse rifle and a flamer "taped" together

ANY thoughts on this conversion using GW parts?
Maybe tau turret, basalisk cannon, and the hull could be what?
Tau Hammerhead with some treads. Going to take some work though (plasticard and green stuff) to get it to match up with some treads. No GW tread system is going to be exactly right but my vote would be to try to mesh the IG hellhound treads to it.
Another option would be to take a predator autocannon turret and mary it to a chimera body just backload the turret instead of in the normal front position.

Ah good a copy of those troopers. You have the other pics for that group? There was one of the Smartgun trooper as well.
I originally saw these on the LV-462 thread over at another forum group that shut down earlier this year and lost those pics for it.
There was also a pic of a APC in the WIP stage.
