Wonderful armies. At first I was just impressed by the Iron Warriors, then I saw the bodies of the Imperial Fists, which saddened and enraged me(not against you, but against your Iron Warriors of course!). Then The Imperial Fists, great job!(My marine chapter is descended from Imperial Fists).

I have to say that you picked great subject matter, Storm of Iron is one of the best 40k novels hands down. Wonderful paint jobs all the way around. So, I am curious in game terms when you and your buddy play, which army has wracked up the most wins?

right now I believe the iron warriors lead the series by one game although I don't usually keep track. here are some shots from my iphone i shot from one of our earlier battles

here are a few Imperial Fist Terminators holding the line

and a squad of plague marines holding an objective

and the other defiler crashing the party

The converted Defiler was made of course from the Grey knight dreadknight kit. I used an extra daemon prince torso with greenstuff to make it look like its fused to the machine parts. here is a photo of it before it was painted

Gotta say that Defiler was really well done, the WIP pic looks like it took a lot of vision. 10/10

Thanks for the kind words guys it really is encouraging, I just hope others can get a fraction of the enjoyment out of my armies as I do building and painting them. I may be tapped on photos for these two armies for the time being as im packing all my stuff up this weekend for an upcoming 2000 mile move to Oregon so lets hope everything makes it intact

I do however plan on shooting the rest of my chaos as soon as possible and will post them.

Storm of Iron was more of an inspiration for the two armies rather than recreating an exact force.

Either way, absolutely fantastic, the Iron Warriors in particular are just so beautiful.
