Surely it must be since, despite its many virtues, GW seems unable to use it.

Forged from pure 'metal' the revolutionary new medium that allows Reaper to make models for a fraction of the price of GW's Finecastium.

I have painted this model (several years ago) and sealed it with the tears of finecast purchasers.

These are great models. The detail is fantastic on this new material. I just wish Reaper would put them out in 28mm.

While 54mm allows for super detail, I for one would happily accept a loss of detail in the smaller scale.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

I have that. Although he is a ghostly wraith in my army.

I collect:

Grand alliance death (whole alliance)

Stormcast eternals

Slaves to Darkness - currently Nurgle but may expand to undivided.

The great thing about this model is how many ways you can use it. It can be a racist sheriff from Georgia, a racist sheriff from Louisiana or a racist sheriff from Texas. The possibilities are limitless!

Honest to god I have been looking for a racist sheriff. I have a scenero from Cold War Gone Hot set in 1984 where a soviet foxtrot class sub parks off the coast of a small american town ( im thinking somewhere in the gulf of mexico so Louisiana,Texas, Alabama or Mississippi ) and the soviet navel crew have to get ashore and raid the car parts store for car batteries so they can power there sub and get out of there.

He would be absolutely perfect to lead the local cops in defeating those 'stinkin commie bastards' (spits).

I read the realm of chaos reviews a few weeks back, great reading. Thanks for posting.

What magic material are these! the details are so crisp and not shinny compared to the old photos,
surely there has to be some science behind this!

Something bearing a passing resemblance to a Displacer Beast, something vaguely similar to a Neo-Otugh, and something very close to a Beholder.

Aboleth, Roper, and Beholder, actually. Some Beholder variant, anyway. Too few eyestalks...

On topic of the minis: I love Reaper for the sheer amount of... stuff, they have. Though I have to admit, finecastium does look pretty neat. When it works.

Beholders are proprietary while floating eyes are not so Reaper can come close but can't quite have 10 eyestalks

Is it the 70s again?

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

I love how at least one person in every one of these threads doesn't get the joke and corrects K_K on his incorrect naming of models.

My Ogre Kingdoms Bragg the Gutsman model softened to the point where his weapon completely doubled over after 15 min in my truck. It didn't "melt" exactly but it ruined the paintjob. Finecast resin has a very low melting temperature.

I have a question about this new material, metal.

Will Reaper Miniatures be releasing a new product that allows for easy patching of miscasts and holes, some sort of liquified-kneadatite?

I do like Reaper a lot despite being metal models. I only wish I had more of a purpose for their models since so many are extremely nice
