Hmm, I`m having doubts on how to continue with this army as I`m closing in on some of the mutated/daemonic stuff. Night Lords are supposed to have stabile genes as far as mutations go so it could be cool with a different Legion/Chapter for the mutated/daemon infested stuff. Something that contrasts to the blue but with a common colour to tie it all up. Like the white skin and purple on the power weapons.

Thoughts on this from anyone else?

Group shot looks great!
I actually think Word Bearers have a good complimentary scheme to the Night Lords. They also apply themselves to the mutated/daemon side of things.

Thanks

That`s a really good suggestion! I love Word Bearers but never wanted to make an entire army, so this could be the best of two

Right, been a busy weekend but finally managed to get these gents ready, namely the Messoribus:

As mentioned my obliterators take inspiration from Dan the Daemons Night Lord Obliterator weapon teams. For my variant version I`ve gone for arcane weaponry mixed with arcane tech as with the cloaking device thing going on there inspired from Captain Brown's Tau Painting Log. Mine are an inferior version but I quite like it, and it kinda goes in with the deep striking rule. The pic is not the best, I knows..

Up next will be the termie Chaos Lord and two mutated Word Bearers!

No comments, no cry

Aaaaand update time (finally!)!

First 8/10 from as of yet unnamed Word Bearers squad:

These are actually the first squad I made for this CSM army, but before I decided on NLs. I`ve really gone to town on the mutations, and I likes it! I also think I made them different enough paintwise than the NLs that they stand on their own but similar in styles that they go together side by side.
I`ll take a better squad pic when the last two are done.

Second, my dreadnought:

When I converted this guy I actually planned on a renegade Space Sharks force. So I tried to make a kinda sharky-mutated thingy. Ah well, it works this way also and he complements the Word Bearers squad nicely.

Then it`s time for my termie Chaos Lord, Priscus, Lord of Harvest, Master of Sorrow, Prince of the Night:

Well...I`m happy with `im!

Lastly a WiP of my next painting victim:

Don`t worry, it`ll be NLs pred.

There's something about the guy with the giant Khorne symbol on his helmet that makes me chuckle.

That's a cool chaos dread. I like his toothy spine.
