I've got some more work to do on the head and the other set of arms, then it will be on to more shaping and textures to the legs, tail and carapace. More pictures up soon.

Here is the other side of the head, been working a lot lately, but I'm still working towards getting this done for the big game in Memphis in March (at the latest)











The mouth is a little bit wider on the left side of the head than the right, but I'm not worried too much about it being perfect! I didn't get to test the Styrospray 1000 yet, but hopefully this week I can do a little testing.

I'm going to probably work on the other set of arms and the torso some this week. I want the whole thing to be mocked up before I move on to the more refined sanding and shaping.

That giant bug of yours is truly awesome-sauce! Your methos of making it is really effective and you've going very well. I've always thought of maing my own bio-titan, you have my envy.

I look forward to seeing how this thing will turn out. It looks like a huge Carnifex, are you planning to give it scything talons or crushing claws in addition to it's heavy ranged bioweapons. Or instead some close combat symbiote of your own devising, big grabby tentacles or uber-crushing claws. Also will it get a big rack of spines or spores on it's carapace?

@ Leech: I am making a shooting platform out of the MegaFex at the moment. Since several people have asked about Scything Talons and I think the Screamer Killer fex is one of the most awesome models out there, I probably will create Scything Talons for it later.

More Dakka now, More Choppa later!

I am also going to add the Chimney Vents on the back of the Carapace. You can see where I left the cutouts for them. They will make it approximately 16" tall to the vents. The Carapace is 14" high now.

I'm also probably going to trim down the head some, since I've gotten a lot of feedback from some other forums that it's a little too cuddly as it is!

I thinned out the head a little and shortened it slightly. It's hard to tell from the pictures the difference but I think it looks better. I got rid of the big teeth, as we can come back later and add those as custom sculpts.

Very good. I think your work on this weapon is going well and the sculpy parts look good. Using both elements from the Carnifex with the rupture cannon of the Tyrannofex is a good idea, it will help to make your creation look more personal and unique.

I've not looked back at this for a good while, and I can honestly say I'm impressed with the progress you've made. Definitely better than I could do!
