I came here hoping for something reinforcing the appalling nature of human beings after being put in front of a camera for years. On a broader scale than just the low hanging fruit, that is.
Instead, I got more Bieber-hate. It's kind of boring.
I also don't understand how a subculture who fervently self-identifies with brightly colored ponies from a children's show who paints man-dollies for fun can really have a problem with some generic pop star.

I just selected Bieber because he's one of the milder ones. Others will surely follow. As for your critique of the rest of us, I'd like to point out that none of us have gone on awards shows ranting about GW/ PP/Global Warming/whatever and giving our opinions as though we're the experts. Lets be fair here. "We" go on wargaming forums and argue with accountants, economists, and legal experts. The amount of nonsense I have seen people spout arguing about finance when they don't even know the basics depresses me and keeps me the hell away from General Discussion. It just makes me angry.

Are you referring to the real accountants, economists, and legal experts that visit the forum?
I've no doubt that there are many, but there's no way to prove who is who, thus making any argument something you have to evaluate at face value alone. I'm a systems engineer who works at a global financial organization. I know more than a thing or two about networking, computer repair, and programming, and could still tell you the difference between an equity and an index. I know every time there is fiber that gets cut in Kenya. I cringe every time a "help me fix my computer" thread comes up, because most of the advice spewed out as fact is utterly abysmal, barring Ouze and maybe one or two other people.
I could just as easily say I'm a world class IP lawyer, and make claims with random Latin phrases to "back it up". Sumpsero canis incedit and all that, you know. Someone may see through the BS. They may not. Even then, being a lawyer doesn't make you always a good one, or any other profession, for that matter. If I had a dime for every disappointment that I shared a job title with over the years, I'd probably not need to be here.

Let me put it in my rationale. I care about Quality in general.
That is why I do not like Him but i like MLP. It is a quality show with talent behind it, Bieber is not talentful AT ALL, his choeragraphy can be done my fat people in tight spandex, he uses autotune more often then i eat subway, He just isnt good.

But now you're debating quality of art (and taking me seriously). We could have endless argument over the relativity of artistic worth (and the futility of trying to take me seriously).
For example, I find there to be no end to the myriad of children's shows, and even children's shows which adults will claim were designed for them as well. There are few sculptures of urinals though...
Let me try something: First off, consider the The Fountain. Suppose then I said "That is why I do not like MLP but i like the Fountain. It is a quality sculpture with talent behind it, MLP is not talentful AT ALL, it's 2d animation can be done my fat people in tight spandex, it uses Adobe Flash more often then i eat drippy fattening greaseburgers, it just isnt good."
I mean, it's basically mad libs at this point.

But there's more to art than technical skill though, that being said MLP artistic elements aren't just visual, stories are considered art as well (I don't know if it's any good though as I don't care for the show).

I honestly think that Bieber is totally overblown and really just needs a childhood. Touring from such a young age, you see and hear gak you really shouldn't. However, since it seems that he really demands to be taken seriously, he should at least present himself a bit more professionally. For example: Neil Young. You don't see him acting like an arse in interviews, and you never have. People might respect Bieber more if he wasn't so flamboyant and disrespectful.

She was threateneing her much larger brother... I was going for this, except instead of bullet, see straw Gay Perry: I want you to picture a bullet inside your head right now. Can you do that for me? Gunman: F*** you. Anyway, that's ambiguous. Gay Perry: Ambiguous. No, no, I don't think so. Harry: No, I think what he means is that when you say "Picture it inside your head" okay is that that a bullet will be inside your head. Or picture it in your head. Gay Perry: Harry will you shut up. Harry: Well he's got a point. Except I butchered it a bit because I was too lazy to google it first

Ladies and gentlemen, for your reading pleasure we have a new contestant on "I am important!" Meet Mr. Jim Carry.
http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-talk/jim-carrey-cannot-support-violence-latest-flick-152219071.html
Jim Carrey Disowns New Flick, 'Cannot Support' Gun Violence
If Universal Pictures was hoping that casting Jim Carrey in the sequel to the cult favorite "Kick-Ass" would bring added publicity to the picture, that's just what they're getting, but not in the way they expected.
"Kick-Ass 2" is due to open in North American theaters on August 16, but Universal has been dealt a major setback in the film's promotional campaign: Carrey, the movie's biggest star, has announced he's withdrawing his support from the picture.
Sunday afternoon, Carrey posted a message on his Twitter account, stating, "I did 'Kickass' a month b4 Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence."
A follow up tweet read, "My apologies to others involve with the film. I am not ashamed of it but recent events have caused a change in my heart."
In "Kick-Ass 2," Carrey plays the malevolent Colonel Stars & Stripes, one of a handful of self-styled superheroes who have taken law and order into their own hands.
Since last December's shootings at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, in which a gunman killed 27 people (most of them young students), Carrey has been fiercely outspoken on the subject of gun control, tweeting frequently in support of increased legislation of firearms and appearing in a satirical music video for Funny or Die, "Cold Dead Hand," which is critical of gun enthusiasts. The video generated enough controversy that Carrey wrote an op-ed piece for the Huffington Post to explain the video and his views.
A few hours after Carrey posted his tweets, Mark Millar, the award-winning comic book writer who created the "Kick-Ass" characters in 2008 for a Marvel comic series, posted a response on his website.
"Jim is a passionate advocate of gun-control and I respect both his politics and his opinion, but I'm baffled by this sudden announcement as nothing seen in this picture wasn't in the screenplay eighteen months ago," he wrote. "'Kick-Ass' avoids the usual bloodless body-count of most big summer pictures and focuses instead of the CONSEQUENCES of violence, whether it's the ramifications for friends and family or, as we saw in the first movie, Kick-Ass spending six months in hospital after his first street altercation.
"Ironically, Jim's character in 'Kick-Ass 2' is a Born-Again Christian and the big deal we made of the fact that he refuses to fire a gun is something he told us attracted him to the role in the first place."
Millar did stress in his blog post that he's a serious Jim Carrey fan and described the actor's performance as Colonel Stars and Stripes as "magnificent."
Carrey's Twitter followers wasted no time sharing their views on his statements; some supported him, others were sharply critical, many expressed their doubts about the link between violence in entertainment and violence in real life, and at least one (critic Scott Weinberg) pondered, "I wonder if he donated his salary to gun control groups."

Is a crisis of Conscious a bad thing?
Isn't it the mark of a reasonable person to be open enough of mind, to change their position as they grow older and have more experience and change?
What about people like Jeffrey Wigand?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey_Wigand
Is it a bad thing to change your mind, when you feel that you might be contributing to the problem, and you make a positive step that is inline with what you believe, peacefully and without violence.
I think it's quite brave, especially in a Country where Guns and Gun Violence is such a polarizing subject?

It wasn't a crisis of conscious when he did the youtube schtick making fun of Charlton Heston. Heston wasn't just a Second Amendment guy -that was later. He was a free speech and heavy procivil rights advocate. Carrey can sucketh it, and verily. Much like his career is doing.

Except that Jimbo isn't experiencing a crisis of conscience. He's been anti-gun before he did this movie and is now using his prominence not only to promote his views but to trash this project. As people posting in various comments have noted, his conscience didn't stop him from auditioning for, performing in, or cashing the paycheck from this production. And with him selling a house for around 15 mil, I don't think he's exactly hard up for money. Even the guys making the movie are a little confused as to why he's doing this now (link provided in quoted article).
