Far be it for me to criticize anyone for buying more minis, although I would comment that 9 sets of SedWars may be just a bit excessive... OTOH, 450 minis for $250? is quite a good value. Have fun with it!

actually the whole order came out to $200.20 shipped (remember the Sedition wars games were $18 on sale).

The Sedition Wars minis are pretty good and have a lot of uses outside of the game. I've used the strain as 'sci-fi zombies' for some Infinity scenarios, have seen people using them for a kind of rogue/out of control ad-mech for 40k as well which was pretty cool.

You should see what some of the comments in the DCM section about people's purchases are like. That makes Asterios' purchases (admittedly massively OTT!) look like a spare change purchase by comparison!

oh yeah this is no where near my largest miniature game purchase, heck not even in the top 20 even, albeit it is a very large purchase for me for a game I will never play probably.

$18 is a very fair price for SedWars. If that had been my cost, I'd be very happy with it!

I agree that $200 shipped is not a particularly large purchase. Although it is somewhat more than I'd have spent on same.

$18 for the bases alone is a great deal.

yeah as a game it sucks, as a parts box it rocks at that price.

Wow. i thought the Biohazard pledge, at double the basic game amount, was pretty damn many as it was.

I'm pretty sure cleaning, hot watering, and assembling 450 restic miniatures is the punishment for stealing fire from the gods. Good luck to you!

You can use the Sedition Wars tiles to floor your bathroom.

I find restic much better to deal with then metal.

as to the tiles, so many options for game floor plans available now.

can they warp? they are some pretty sturdy tiles almost like MDF.

Yes, the initial KS delivery was plagued by warping tiles. Some folks posted pictures of them ending up almost 'U' shaped.

I wish the boards in the Ruinscape and cityscape sets were just as thick and rigid as these sedition wars boards.

I paid $20 for my copy and... These minis suck. The prep required is just not right for what I was supposed to be. Had I paid MSRP or been a KS pledge, I'd be mighty upset.

Therefore and hence forth, I shall never buy any CMON product.

So mote it be.

Zombicide is OK, because you play it out of the box, no assembly required. Same with other CMoN boardgames.

I would not back another CMoN game requiring assembly.

Nor anything by Studio McVey. Ever.

Sedition Wars was definitely the first game to demonstrate the downside of Restic enabling such a good deal on price.

We warned you... You've still got 50 cool scenic bases though.

I've been fairly cautious about mini pledges. I backed Deadzone 1 because it was such a good deal and I liked the rebs, but they weren't fun to cleanup and assemble. Further, after seeing a few of the shortcomings of some of the Kings of War 1 figs (I luckily only backed for the rulebooks) I held back and again only backed Warpath for the books. I just don't trust Restic anymore

AegisGrimm wrote:Sedition Wars was definitely the first game to demonstrate the downside of Restic enabling such a good deal on price.

Maybe not the first (Deadzone?) but certainly the most extreme example. I now figure the pain-in-the-buttoks nature of Restic cleaning into the price of the figure. It's got to be an awesome deal on good looking figs for me to buy Restic figs. In most cases I'd rather buy dated sculpts like EM4 Grenadier stuff in metal than fool with Restic.

Debatable - I have both, and I like how RRT cleans up compared to SedWars. Mold line cleanup on SedWars restic his horrible.

What about the restic "strings"? You can't sand edges, ever.

The RRT minis have that intangible HIPS je ne sais quois that makes cleaning them a tranquil zen experience. Gluing them, not so much. Cleaning restic is like trying to strangle a Rottweiler mid coitus. There's no satisfaction there.

I don't know it might be just me, with all the materials I use and repetitive actions, look at the below picture, you see all those rivets in my tower, those are sewing pins and I placed each one (its the OCD in me), rstic might seem tough to some, but its no where near as annoying as trying to fill in a gap on a leg or arm that just won't fill right.

I think the USPS doesn't like AoS. My starter set has been in "picked up" status for three days. Was originally scheduled for delivery today. :(

I am thinking of using the bases to convert some WHFB minis to AoS. Got some WHF stuff for 50% off.
