Would be not pleased to run into that on the tabletop. Properly Chaosy.

Awesome to see someone still rocking the OG ork models! I think the modern 40K orks look all wrong, the old metal models had the best style by far, although I must admit liking the modern proportions more.

Those converted Chaos bots are also great. Always fun to see conversions and bashes that are a little unconventional. 40K can feel so monotonious at times, for every modeler going their own way there are seemingly thousands who never convert or scratchbuild anything..

Thanks Blockade and Oltannon

@tauist thanks and yeah, the old metal boyz look a lot less derpy than 3rd ed+ plastics but some of the very recent kits are sorely tempting me to start a new modern ork army.....

Nurgle Desecrator demon engine knight is done.....just one more to go now, i've started him already, guess who it is

Here's some Devilish Imps from Alternate Armies that I can run as pink horrors, or nurglings. Maybe use them for the Hobgoblin game i'm getting into . I just thought they were cool minis and wanted to paint them

Those are great minis and would serve well in any of the roles you mention. Frankly, if you have more and do them up in green, they could be snotlings. Or do your Orks in red/pink shades.

By "Hobgoblin," do you mean that ruleset by the guy who wrote Gaslands? I picked that up in the KS, but haven't done more than skim the rules. Have you actually played, and if so, what did you think?

Yes that's the one, i've read it but not played it yet. I don't have a fantasy army... yet! it will be my next project. I love everything about it.
I was excited for Old World until I read the rules and figured out all the hoops I would have to jump through to get an army done.... for example, I bought an old regiment of renown, Rugluds armoured orcs, off ebay, and it turns out you can't give orcs heavy armour unless they are black orcs....
Anyway, Hobgoblin looks like a great alternative.... if I can pursuade some of my group to play

Ruglud's Armoured Orcs! There's a blast from the past. I used to have that set, but traded it off to a friend when we were all consolidating our WHFB armies. I think I still have one of them in a box somewhere.

I have four fantasy armies not seeing any action. They are based for Kings of War, but I don't really like the weird rules for charges. I'll have to see if I can get my son to give it a try with me.

Great discussions- ours is a well-rounded hobby with myriad details to balance.

Josh's Son: Dad, I want to go to bed. I have school tomorrow.

Josh: Shut up and roll the dice, kid.

My son is a teenager. He hasn't said "I want to go to bed" on a school night in years.

A good reason to have kids is to have future wargames opponents
My boy is 5 and he beats me everytime

I reckon i'm a bit fed up with GW; I got back into the hobby around 9th ed, in 2020, and i've kept up so far, but it's getting tiring.

Anyway, here's the final Demon Engine: a demon of Malal, trapped in the chassis of a rampager chaos knight.

Those guys are great! And very much in keeping with the original look that Oldhammer had- the paint jobs are perfect!

Some lovely pieces on that Warblades site- it's like the original designers for Warhammer 40k all packed up and moved there! I must now spend money to get the Squat Special Weapons plasma gunner wearing not just the traditional Ray-Ban Cool Rays sunglasses to protect from backblast- but a whole reflective fishbowl helmet- finally, a plasma gunner with sense!

@meer_cat yeah it's all clearly very inspired by the RT era which is great. Usually I find with sculptor that dabble in this that they never produce a big enough range; but this guy gives enough for a small army without repeating too many figures. I'm adding some of the squat bikes from Ramshackle too https://shop.ramshacklegames.co.uk/home/410-plant-blank.html
---sorry about your finances old boy!

You are a font of information- thank you! That is a (to me, at least) fantastic price for a squad of 10 bikers- and great sculpts to boot!

I've got the one in the middle- have had for decades (literally) and haven't gone to work as I hadn't settled in my mind what colors to try to use: very much like how yours turned out, excellent work.

I bought I tiny teddy bear charm and want to fit it under one arm- to provide contrast for the ripper gun!

Rock on!
