Thanks Vik, I've been lying on the couch watching American Restorations (a show about this guy's business out in California where he takes old machinery and restores it to its original condition, Coke machines, wagons, gas pumps, any old piece of Americana) and dozing in and out. I'm not about to wield an x-acto anytime soon

that sounds nasty... get your keeper to nurse you back to health!^^ and try to sleep for real... dozing for some minutes wont do you any good...but i understand why someone wouldn´t want to sleep for real ^^

I slept about 12 solid hours, feeling better, will save the perscription narcotics for later in the day I have safely cut some stuff this morning.

No it's harvest time, I always get a nasty cold when the weather changes and especially when they harvest soybeans, the dust is everywhere in the air. I promise that this has nothing to do with the hobby.

I am currently playing with some arched bulkhead-type supports for a supported walkway. Using the sandwich technique from the substation platform.

Can you give us a tutorial on how to cut that accurately and cleanly; I need to know because I'm making a spacehulk, style board! It's looking amazing so far,

Drawing the arch is the hardest part. I just (sorta) read this

Then used the template to trace it onto the plasticard (flipping it over for the other half 3" high and 1 1/2" wide for a full arch. As for cutting, just gently follow the line with your exacto...NEVER try cutting through the plasticard, just gently score 2-4 times then snap the styrene, any rough edges can be cleaned up with the knife or sandpaper.

those hexagon rivets/bolts look so sweet! this is a look i can reproduce with my holepunch....now i am pouting^^

that archway looks, well this gets anoying... i am following so many cool threads atm that i tend to overuse so many adjectives but your stuff is rock and metal! i wonder what happens in your brain to let you create such frikking mad awsomenesses on a dayly basis...*shakes head*

oh and by my in-laws there once i witnessed a harvest in full swing... corn then... and boy did it get dusty... we literally took heel and run for cover inside the house and bolted all doors and windows....but i thnk we didn´t go it airtight then....so i can relate to that being a cause for your infection.... so much dust...no wonder....and well i am glad that you felt good enough to start working...means your either truly back on the way to health restoration or you are just insane and lucky^^

Well, remember I'm constantly working with this in front of me.

and i see now why you had to cut away on the suports... are the templates of yours cut the right way? the ones on the pic here look slihtly more inward ...er...more like not "L" shaped but like an italic "L"...if you get my meaning...

More great stuff there! It did seem that the one station was lifting that arched walkway a bit off the table though, maybe add some sort of "foot" on the bottom of the stanchions?

THanks Shas, ya it will get a 1/16" hardboard base when I get the saw out and get around to cutting wood. The Rivet Tower needs a base cut too.

I would, and will comment and suggest ideas as the come, but frankly, you are using the same pics for inspiration that got me into the hobby. So really just keep going. I might have more to say as the smaller details come to light.

Maybe work up some utility station next, as you have a few buildings now.
