I was gonna say the same thing to alf. The browns and patriots have the same record... It's one game, still 15+ to go no matter how bad your team looks.
As to the patriots our offensive line looks so bad right meow. Really not liking the mankins trade meow. Hopefully this can be cleaned up but my goodness we couldn't block Miami at all in that second half. Also the defense really needs to learn how to tackle meow. You are not gonna be able to strip in 90% of the time.

Hey Kronk, Nice job by the Texans.
Alf, That is a very defeatist attitude. They stayed in there against a divisional rival. That shows they have something to build on.
I'm very well aware of the type of attitude it is. While it may be 1 game, it's just another loss in the crap-tastic record of the "new" Browns. After how miserable the first half was, I was pretty much done. The third quarter was great to watch, but like the Browns of old (since 99) we can't cut when it counts. I'm just tired of constantly losing, especially close games like that one. I would have preferred the game end 32-3, that way I could have felt good about the loss. Instead they flash some life, they looked solid, they did very well with the no huddle, but when time was not on their side, the same old Browns reared their ugly head.

Is it just me, or on the face of things....do a lot of the Monday night games look like they're going to be stinkers?
Some of the Thursday ones look alright....but I can live without seeing them...just surprised at the MNF matchups.
Wait... what did you downgrade to, that you no longer have ESPN, or NFL network?? Because those are in the BASIC package where I'm at.
Also... I feel bad for whoever has Romo as a QB in their fantasy team (not really)

Well, the plan we have is, I believe, called the "Family" package.
http://cdn.directv.com/cms2/support/20120323_family_channel_lineup.pdf
$29.99 / month. They don't really advertise it on their site, you need to either ask for it, or ask for their lowest priced package.
I do miss my SyFy....and other stuff...but...I'm still living, so it wasn't a necessity ( lol).

If you are sick and tired of being a fan of a losing team.....then simple: STOP BEING A FAN OF A LOSING TEAM

Never wanted to root for the 49ers...but considering I have their DEF, Kap and Gore....I am begrudgingly rooting for them to at least perform well enough to help me to victory.
So far, they're playing outstanding.
Then again....
It *is* the Cowboys they're playing..... Automatically Appended Next Post: That was an awesome shot by Brown!

I may win my game, my opponent needs to get 42 points between Reggie Bush, Emmanuel Sanders, and Michael Floyd... Feeling pretty confident, but a little sad that Ben Tate went down in the middle of the game, and that Tampa's D was terrible...

Also the Browns continue to disappoint. 2 minutes left and they just get sacked over and over, and Big dumb Ben puts together a half field scoring drive to win it as time expires. I'll see you fethers next year.
I dunno...I think the comeback is something for your squad to build on. I've seen Browns teams quit plenty of times, and they sure didn't today. Clearly they were still playing for Pettine, and that's a good sign. It's week 1.
The Steelers' defense is very much a WIP with all the new guys, and the offense is going to have to shoulder the load until they start to gell. Today they did...but only barely.
Edit: Regarding week 1, 25 seasons ago your Browns beat my Steelers 51-0 in the opener. The Steelers lost 41-10 in week 2 to the Bengals. They went 9-5 the rest of the way, made the playoffs, beat the Oilers and nearly upset the Broncos in what might have been Chuck Noll's finest coaching job. Never quit on your team this early.

I'm gonna take solace in the fact that I'm not like one of the Cleveland Sports Media who was yelling after the game that the reason why the Browns lost is because they didn't put Johnny Manziel, which ranks up there as one of the dumbest sports comments I've ever heard...

Well, they did come back and make a game of it.....only losing by 7.
Not sure why they didn't try for the 2nd on-side kick...but...they got lucky and got the 3 and out.
Did you just hear that Manning and Favre are the only 2 qb's to have beaten every NFL team in their career?
I absolutely loved his response to being told that!!

Yeah, I'm not sure either. If they had managed to punch it in during the 3rd instead of trying that goofy quarterback sneak and losing it on the goal line, I would have been much happier.
I didn't see that part, unfortunately I couldn't watch the end because I had to go finish up some classwork, but that's damn impressive.

Well, that's pretty much why everyone was calling bs on the original suspension. Now that the full story is out (whether or not you believe the NFL saw the footage of the interior of the elevator is up to you - personally I believe they knew from the beginning), Ray Rice is indefinitely suspended and cut from his team.
And that isn't to mention the enormous, humiliating black eye on the NFL itself. From a league standpoint, this is a solid contender for the biggest screw up and embarrassment the league has ever gone through.

My Sirius/XM was temporarily out, so I had to listen to AM sports radio this morning, and they brought up an even better point to the Ray Rice incident. Never mind that he was suspended, then cut, and now indefiinitely banned from football. NONE of that is important.
What is important: WHY IS THIS GUY NOT GOING TO COURT!?
