So anyway I have been thinking for a long time how awsome it would be if every army got some sort of Special Unit thats similar to the Necron C'tan. I know that every army has special characters but the Necron C'tan are unique in that they are far more powerful in stat line and abilities than any other special character in the game. So I always thought that it would be a neat idea and since I'm a Space Marine player I thought it would be awsome if we could finally get our hands on the Primarchs both for painting the model purposes and for using an awsome unit. Now I know some of the Primarchs are dead such as Rogal Dorn, Sanguinis, and a few others but I believe there are a few that are still alive as well as Chaos Primarchs. Here is a stat line I came up with for a Primarch.

WS 10 BS 6 St 6 T 6 W 5 I 8 A 5 L 10 Sv 2+

Armor of the Primarchs - This armor gives the Primarchs a 2+ save that once per turn they may re-roll should they fail it. Also the armor grants a 3+ invulnerable save.
Eternal Warrior - The Primarchs have been around for so long and they were created especially by the Emperor they cannot be instant killed by anthing not even Force Weapons.
Fearless - The Primarchs are the embodiment of the Emperors will and as such are completely immune to anything they would see in the Galaxy they are fearless and because of their strength they do not take extra wounds from losing combat (if they ever lose combat).

Basically I could go on to describe some other unique items and abilities but each Primarch would probably have a slightly different stat line and different items and abilities based upon the world they grew up on and/or the Chapter they lead or in the case of Chaos Primarchs any gifts they might have. As to point costs I could see something upwards of 350 to possbily 500 points and maybe a point limitation such as can only be used in games of 2000pts or more or even restricting them to Apocolypse games. I just think that being able to use such epic characters or models would give big games something really unique. Of course each race would have something different, Eldar might have super Avatars, Tyranids might have the gigantic hive minds, Orks, Tau, and Dark Elder are harder but im sure people especially games workshop could think something up. So hit up this post with some comments on what you think and maybe we can come up with some full stat lines for some of the units I listed above for use in friendly games.

Ah I like what your thinking, 4+ FNP instead of 3+ invulnerable good point since 3+ may be a bit to good, also didn't think about acute senses or relentless. Tweaking is always good and I think coming up with some suitable stats for use in friendly games would be really cool just may take a lot of ironing out to make them not to overpowered.

I dont think just having a Primarch stat line is right. After all, there isnt just a C'Tan stat line, We have the Night Bringer and Deciever. I think it would be far better to have a profile for each individual. ie Russ and Angron would have higher strength than say Magnus who would have a megatonne of face melting psychic powers instead. Sanguinis would be jump infantry ect.

Eldar have Phoenix Lords, who are evidently immortal demi-gods and akin to Khaine as the Primarchs are to the Emperor. They are nowhere near that awesome in stats and abilities.

try a space marine commander statline with a few +1s and work from there.

Also I don't think there's any such thing as 'primarch armor'. Try Artificer. If they need to be tough, FNP and fearless is always good, rather than making up new wargear.

I would only assume that the Primarch's would be apoc units? I dont think that (if they were to be done properly) a SM captain + FNP would really cut it. If Vulkan He'stan gets a few bits of fancy wargear I cant see Vulkan himself just having 2+ armour and FNP. If they were every made as playable characters, I would only be happy if they were 4-500+ point monsters.

although we might have to take into consideration that Abaddon is suposedly Horus' clone and is only 275 points.

He isn't horus's clone. He was the captain of the Luna Wolves first company, and a son of horus.

Okay so take the Abaddon template and add a couple of +1s here and there and you get Horus. Same goes for turning Logan into Leman or Ahriman into Magnus, and so on.

I think much of the primarchs' legendary godlike power is imperial propeganda. I'm sure they were all awesome, but then so is a space marine captain awesome in the eyes of an imperial guardsman.

Has anybody else seen the Tempus Fugitives Horus Heresy campaign? It has stats for basically all of the Primarchs, along with the weapons they used.

Basically all the stats people posted here for Primarchs was a copy of them. The 1+ armor and such...
