Currently they are a mixture of saim hann, biel-tan, alaitoc and ulthwe. I want to paint them one craftworld, and am really stuck what to do. I was going to go iyanden, but the fluff doesnt match my army, neither do i fancy spending hours applying yellow to the same model.
So i thought to myself, i shall do my own craftowrld, which i can do the fluff for etc, and then base them around how i like to play. Sound like a good idea???????

Also the colour scheme i was gonna try was half n half. half blood red, and the other half snot green. Detail would be on opposite sides (red on green, green on red).

What fo you people think ? and if you have any differnet colours, let me know

your probably better off making your own craftworld, that way you can personalize your army alot better. nothing like painting in one of the main craftworlds and playing a game with models that dont fit that craftworld and getting alot of dirty looks from all the fluff bunnies. and with your color choices i cant help but think of christmas, but if it works for you then go for it. even more so if it grabs your attention from the corner of your eye.

and your model selection isnt that bad, some might say its bad but it really isnt. it gives you alot of options for your army from game to game. however i will say you might need more transports. only having one in a game is pretty much saying "look at me, im the only tank! Shoot me!". but i dont know your playstyle so it might work for you. your elite choices will be hard fought for as there are several good units there. most will say you will need more fire dragons, i use them myself but not too often. i prefer halies or wraithguard for my elites. you also have a good range of troops, so nothing really bad there, avengers are good in most games due to good shooting. and guardians are better for lower pt games due to low cost and high model count per unit. as for your fast attack, that is mainly the total fun section. the units are hit and miss, they will either do good for you or totally suck in a game, so have fun with it. and your heavies, again people will tell you prisms/war walkers/or falcons. those are the most used in armies, but that, just like everything else is personal preference. and like i said earlier, you have a good variety of units to play around with. so good luck and have fun.

Thankyou for your reply, i understand your comments very clearly, ad want to let you know that the eldar i have got is a mixutre of what i have got given from a family member, to what i have brought... mostly was given to mee.

I only said red n green cause its two colours i know and came to mind lol, but what about blue and white ?

Also is there any other colours you could suggest that would work well?

theres nothing wrong with hand me downs. actually thats how i got started in the hobby.

blue and white for the color scheme is a good combo...as are red and white. but if you need ideas check out the galleries. thats pretty much what i do when i need ideas on how to paint units as im not into the whole technicolor rainbow for my army as i prefer to have all my units match.

Snot green and blood red brings Christmas to mind. firstly the colours clash and there is nothing worse than trying to be taken seriously with christmas coloured space elves

you could also use one of the craftworlds in the codex with little to no fluff like Yme-loc and just make up the rest by yourself, thats what i did

White goes with any colour, aswell as black though not as well.

I dunno i would love to fight christmas space elves would be hilarious...
Could you do a bell pattern down the side of your fire-prism?

could always paint a tank up as a christmas tree and use a candy cane for your weapon turrets...lol

What about enchanted blue and white?, I think that would go really well lol

And now iv thought about it, im not gonna do red n green as i dont want christmas elves lol
