Wolf Priests are supposed to be both apothecary and chaplain to the Space Wolves, but in game terms they operat the ame as Chaplains, with none of the apothecary rules, such as giving Feel no pain or whatever.

In 4th edition, they could take healing balms and remove the first wound from a unit they were attached to, but all that was lost in 5th edition onwards.

@WM360 - Yeah surprised me as well when I was handed the model, it was the first thing I pointed out "Ahem, this chaplain has medical vials, what gives"

@Dantay - interesting tidbit of history there, healing balms

@Briancj - I do recall seeing that a while ago, does include any old rules of models, like 2nd or 3rd edition rules?

Update: Model done, magnetised and back with its owner, who is very happy with the results.

Looks great, I especially like the freehand on the left sholder guard and the face is astonishingly detailed... Love it.

Oh, tooktthe rules down so as not to break forum rules, however when people show their leaked pics of rules from White Dwarf, isnt that also then against therules.

Back on topic, brilliant model, and you highlighted the black perfectly.

Update: next up is 5 Sang Guard and Dantay - use of the airbrush made this stage fricken easy, primer of grey, base of dark brown - the bronze - then gold highlight right at the top.

@Lucarikx - Many thanks! Crisp you say? That's a tough one, I guess it starts with multiple coats of thinned paint, I always go for a nice smooth coverage with no paint lines through the paint, you can see this in the earlier models I paint where WIP 3 and WIP 4 are just the same grey coat being applied once, then again. The result however is a nice solid grey that doesn't have streaks in it. The next step is highlights and they are just that, for my models I do a full edge highlight around all hard edges, this is my paint style however I have seen it used sparingly and only on upper most surfaces to great effect.

@Graven - Cheers mate, the silver still need a highlight but the gold came out exactly how I had intended!

@Daxx - You and me both buddy! I really want to start painting something that isn't a space marine as well, so stay tuned, I feel the stirrings of something robotic in the future (spoilers eh?)

Update: small one this time, Greens have been done and highlighted, parchment and bone have all been done as well. And to round out this phase the blood drops have been coated and highlighted as well, tough to see on these models, but they are going to look sick!

The last thing I remember was the overhead shot of the basecoated Dark Angels/Ultrmariness on page 100.

As always, you've done a great job with them, the Terminator and Wolf Priest, and the Sang Guard are looking sweet already

Here is how to do the dark grey...

After a black primer you drybrush adeptus battlegrey and then highlight with a drybrush of fortress grey then you mix chaos black with charadon granite.

@M.K - Thanks man, yeah condensed 3 months work in to a short time kind of leaves the impression I can work really quickly.... I tell you its not true.

@WM360 - You and me both mate, I was handed these guys already assembled and primed, the gentleman who had assembled them doesn't seem to have heard of mold lines or test fitting, I have to make some serious adjustments to get the wings to fit.

@Gits - Definitely fethers... 4 days of doing these 10 wings, and never again, my god they were not fun at all. In fact I looked online for a list of fun things, and yep, painting sang guard wings was not on the list!

@Miss Dee - Thanks! I plan on using that for the DC I will end up painting.

Update: 4 days.... 4 days of painting these wings..... horrible, just horrible, glad I don't have to do them again.

Very nice!

The shaded lines in the wings are incredible. When I did mine, I just left them off to save time.

I wish I could have left them off, It would have saved me oodles of time.

However they are done now, had to chop shoulder pads to get the wings to fit, not happy about that, but I didn't put together the models.

Very pretty indeed (there's still a mould line down the top of the axe though). The wings are very cool, the gemwork is excellent and Dante's highlighting is particularly good.

Update: BA Libby up next, he got a blue primer, followed up by a lighter blue air brush at 45 degrees finished off with a blue wash, Finished edge highlighting and started picking out the details
