How nice and helpful are your FLGS staff, mine help me find better deals and help me build my army and im always welcome there. I assume most staff are like this, but I want to know if people have had some bad incounters with staff members.

The staff at Other Realms in Honolulu Hawaii couldn't be better! They provide in store gaming and Monday Night game nights, 4 Days of Games all day events a year with discounts on products, and are expertly knowledgeable of comics, games, and hobbies, especially GW and Privateer Press! Friendly and helpful only begins to describe these guys!

The FLGS staff is pretty much awesome, they take the time to listen to you, actively help you with a solution and are quite knowledgeable about what they sell, which is always a big help. Plus on slow days they're great to talk to, the manager in particular has been a great conversationalist, especially when he's back from a convention or some time ago, back from all those companies in and around Nottingham.

People have a hard time getting me to pay or play elsewhere.

Not that paying is required for playing there. I just very much prefer to support my FLGS since they support my. . . habit.

Aside from being a little pushy with the sales the red shirt at my local games workshop is quite helpfull and friendly.

I don't go to my lgs store so I voted for my closest GW which everyone who works there is awesome.

Area 51 in Grapevine, TX staff is incredible. They know what you're talking about and stay very in touch with their customers like only a small store that cares can

The staff at Yellow Submarine are great. They aren't pushy. When you're looking for something, they'll stop whatever it is they're doing and help you. They also give a 10% off discount on Warhammer stuff.

I buy everything online so hardly ever go to the local shop. Way too expensive over here is Aus.

When I do I like to annoy them saying stuff like "No, I dont want to buy any new Blood Angels, they look ". Im their worst type of customer. At least it allows me to browse without being annoyed.

I havent been to my FLGS in a long while but new worlds in del city oklahoma. Has an awesome staff. The two main guys that own and run the place are some of the nicest people I have ran across in awhile. Always nice friendly and more then happy to talk about whatever. Something they get huge points for is that they have never once actually tried to sell me one thing. When I go in there I know right what I want and were it is. Having a salesmen down your back constantly is the easiest way to get me out of a store with my money still in my pocket. They are also more then happy to order anything I may need.

The main LGS around here is a TFG breeding ground. The staff are terrible, most of them being kids working for less than minimum wage worth of store credit. Most sane people avoid it like the plague.

My store has an owner who does anything to make a sale and is a compulsive liar. That should sum it up, haha. I drive the extra 30+ minutes to go somewhere a bit south where the owner is amazing and friendly.

My store has awesome staff. It's an independant store so nobody gets stuff forced on them. Great guys.

Except for the manager. He's fething scary; 6'5" with those freaky 'ice' eyes that just track you whenever you walk in the door. He's probably the scariest-looking person I've ever met.

I frequent two FLGS and both are extremely helpful, and way more welcoming than GW has ever been.

The shop I visit most often has an awesome discount; can't beat 20% off MSRP. Unfortunately though, this store is primarily a hobby shop that focuses on model planes and remote control cars. They have a tiny GW section, and usually only have one guy running the miniature side of things. The store doesn't have enough room or interest in the gaming tables, but the staff is extremely helpful.

The other store is much larger, has a few tables, and actually hosts tournaments on occasion. They are just as helpful but their discount isn't as nice.

All together, I really enjoy my FLGS and their staffs.

My FLGS staff are two awesome guys who are know lot about the games they sell and are super friendly.

Two regulars work in my LGS (no F for Friendly though the F could stand for a familiar four letter word). Manager and employee, both of whom are pushy and rude. I stopped going for 3 years, then needed some paint, went in hoping they had it, and they immediately picked up on the rude act as if I'd been there the day before. Left and bought my stuff from Maelstrom.

The black shirt at my GW is actually really awesome. He does some annoying stuff like list tooling but all around he's a good sales man and a nice guy.

I voted great, because I just refuse to go into the store when staff I know are utter plebs are working. I go in when the people I like are their and they are infinitly helpful and really nice people

The staff at my FLGS are pretty good. Most of them arn't wargamer's but they atleast try to be helpful.

My FLGS is great, and even more so due to the fact that my significant other works there. Great deals and a good gaming environment

My FLGS is great the owner just bought the building next to him and its strictly for table top gaming.

Took a big chance to but it seems to be paying off.

Its also really nice to not have all the TCG players coming over and stealing tables

My local FLGS is great. The staff are knowledgable, give great tips, and don't try to sell you anything.

The staff at the store I go to, Legion Comics, is great! The owner is a nice guy who works his hardest to make sure everyone is satisfied. He's also an easy guy to talk to and has lots of interesting anecdotes. The guy who works the register is equally as helpful and is always willing to give advice on WM/H.

I here you there, sounds like your in Cali with me sounds just like my local guy so been forced to drive/bus 30 min down the road.

Nice to see results of 50% Great, and 70% Good-Great! You hear so many negative comments about stores/staff, but these guys & gals are usually just gamers themselves who've taken up a job of it. Good folks for the most part! I've started to appreciate the staff a lot more at the stores near me, especially the small GW with only a single staffer working at a time. Tough job, but he does it well... and plays hard rock rather than the LOTR theme over and over

Mine is good, the only bad thing I have to say about them is when they banned a guy for using stuff from the bitz box (Warmachine models) as Dreads without buying them.

Otherwise, they're pretty helpful. Most of them play Fantasy, not 40k, though. They sell stuff MSRP, unfortunatley.

Meh. There's only one FLGS in anything remotely resembling my immediate area. Borderlands in Salem, OR. There's technically one other shop in town, but we'll not discuss them, because... well, it's just best not to discuss them, as we're not allowed to curse on this forum.

As for the Borderlands folk, it's really hard to categorize them as a whole, because it's a total grab-bag of folks there, ranging from the pretty cool to the total... well, grab-bags. From a business perspective, they're fair-to-generous. They give $5 off every $30 you spend on GW stuff, but occasionally specific items will go through weird short-term spikes because the owner has consulted his magic 8-ball and determined that they must go up. Then he realizes no one finds that funny, and puts the price back. Usually.

So, in short, they're not great, really, but they're not terrible, usually. And anyway, at least they meet the condition of "local". Otherwise, it's an hour on the highway to get to a bigger city with more (as yet unexplored) LGS's.

Even the GW staff where I am seem to be great, not pushy, chatty about what peoples current projects are, colour schemes, even asking for tips on some painting effects from customers and swapping ideas. It's strange and spooky compared to the rest of the GW's I've been in.

Well there is not a gw within 50 miles of where i live..so my lcgs, specifically the one that handles all the warhammer orders and such. i regularly have beers with and other things. I have known this guy for about a good 8 years now. Great guy. Great to be around when we are all f*cked up.
