Hey there, my name's Ben been painting on and off for nearly 7 years now.
Started with dark elves a lot of time so got sick of the sight of warrior boxes ha! I now paint 40K Tau, also help with space marines from time to time.
Only got two models in my "army" at the moment but shold have a lot more by next week.

I think that the white model needs a darker colour in the recesses between the armour plate.

Welcome to dak dak¡ They look good but agree that they both could do with a wash in the recesses.

The broadside has black in all of it's recesses and I will defnatly be putting black in the recesses of the commander. I noticed it when I'd finished but thought it would be to late for a wash, won't it make it look messy all over if I do that ? Black is pretty hard to cover with white

If i was to go about paint white over black first i would start with a colour like Adeptus battlegrey and build up through the lighter greys until you get to white this is the order i would do it in making sure that i water down my paints every time.

1. Adeptus battle grey
2. Codex grey
3. Fortress grey
4. 50/50 Skull white / Fortress crey
5. Skull white X 1 or maby two depending on the colour after 1 coat.

No problems mate , if you do give that a go try get some pictures posted , also seeing as there is a few layers using this technique try to make sure that you water down your paints to make sure that you get a nice neat even coverage of the area you are painting.

Any questions just ask hope it helps a bit.

Wow thats really neat paint job on that Skateboard , the roses look really good and seem to bring it all together. As for the Tau thing i would be interested in seeing the results when you do get the wash done , could you post some pics when you get your kit back be interesting to see the results.

Sounds really good mate , i will look foward to seeing how you do with them also. I started a pair of terminator legs is the Sons or Orar scheme , check them out there in my gallery if you want.

Just uploaded the space marines to my gallery.
Unfortunatly I culdn't do the wash on my Tau commander till about an hour ago and it's at my friend's house, even more unfortunalty I have to go over all of the white red and blue again because the wash made it all look terrible
Really hoping once it's repainted it looks good other wise I may die inside.

I like the gundam look of the battlesuit, and how clean the red one is..
