If you could make your own 40k character what would the character be called, what rules, stats and wargear will it take and also why would you have him/her/it in your army and what background would the character have?

Please make the character reasonable (somthing you might read in a new codex)

The Night Reaper.

A Necron Lord embodies the teachings of the Nightbringer and seeks to cause as much terror and dismay before the main legions of the Necrons arrive with his personal guard of Ghouls.

Makes Flayed Ones troops and shares their abilites, ie: move through cover, terrifying visage, infiltrate, rending*, furious charge*. Must be attached to the squad to receive the benefits.

Souless and has a personal Nightmare Shroud allowing 2 in the army to be taken. Staff of Light and Gaze of Flame.

Ghouls: These are Flayed Ones that have the rending special rule and furious charge in addition to normal rules for Flayed Ones. *Ghouls only.

I would make a chaos HQ for each of the 4 gods that actually made sense.

Why would a khorne lord only get an extra attack in CC? He should have a much higher WS 2 or 3 etra attacks and FC at the least.

Same for the other 3 gods as well. Extra wounds for nurgle and fnp. Crazy high I for Slaanesh with fleet and rending. Powers for tzeentch that are actually powerful. FOr being a god know for powerful magic there powers sure to suck.

Can't you see we have been abandoned? Forget matters of duty and honor to the emperor this is now a matter of pride.

White-wolf, if you could see how herp I'm derping at that post...

I'd really like a Tzeentchian HQ for CSM who sacrifices CC for Mephiston-levels of Psyker BS.

Possibly along the lines of

Master of the Warp

WS 4 BS 4 S 4 T 4 W 2 A 2 LD 10 SV 2+3+

Limit 0-1

Wargear

Artificer Armor, Force Weapon, Bolt Pistol, Favor of Tzeentch

Special Rules

Warp Dominance

Whenever the Master of the Warp fails any Psyker-Power related Roll, he may re-roll it.

Caller of Change

The Master of the Warp can choose to not move, shoot, assault, or use any other Psyker power, in order to Call the Beasts of Change. The Master of the Warp takes a Leadership test at -2, (-1 if he has Mark of Tzeentch). On a failure, he takes 1d3 hits at STR 5. If he passes, 1d3 Chaos Spawn are summoned. On any doubles other than one, that still pass, 1 unit of lesser Daemons are summoned. On a double one, take another leadership test at -3(-2 with MoT). On a pass, he summons a Greater Daemon. On a failure, place a Large Blast Template over the Master of Change, all units under it take 1d6 STR 10 AP1 hits.
The Master of the Warp can only use Caller of Change twice per game. If he succeeds on the first attempt, he is too weary to begin the summoning ritual again.

OH this thread is gonna have a long life.

I have so many.

Grey Knight Special Character.

Brother Captain Syphus. 280 points.

Independent Character.

Ws 7 Bs 5 Str 5 T 5 ini 5 A 5 LD 10 Sv 2+.

Brother Captain Syphus has served the Grey Knights for untold centuries, throughout these centuries, he has learnt more than just the warfare of daemons, but of almost every race conceivable, in missions defending sacred ground against the horrors of the hivemind, purging orks from a warp infested region, lest they become possessed, and purging hive cities of traitorous guardsmen.

Because of his wealth of knowledge on such circumstances, it falls to Brother-Captain Syphus to lead the fights against not only the daemonic, but the heretical and the blasphemous.

Special Rules:

Psyker: Syphus is a psyker, and can use 3 Psychic powers per turn, choosing from any of the Grey Knight Psychic Powers.

Grey Knights: Syphus is subject to the special rules of the Grey Knights.

Imbue Hate: Syphus grants the squad he joins Furious Charge, Counter Attack, and Stubborn Universal Special rules. He and his squad may also assault 12', not just the usual 6'.

War gear:

Terminator Armour.

Iron Halo.

Digital Weapons.

Dawn Of Banishment: Dawn Of Banishment is an Anointed Daemonhammer that allows Syphus to strike at base initative. Further more, it allows Syphus to ignore all initative debuffs such as assaulting through cover or enemy character special rules.

Unfathomable Faith: Unfathomable Faith is a psychic power used in the shooting phase, and has the following stats:

range 12 str 5 ap 3 Heavy 2d6.

*note: Syphus and any attached units may not assault on the turn this psychic ability is used.

Space marines:

Devastator Sergeant Helion. 150 pts.
ws 4 bs 5 str 4 t 4 ini 4 w 2 LD 10 Sv 3+.

Devastator sergeant Helion may be bought as an upgrade for a single devastator squad.

Wargear:

Meltabombs.

Plasma pistol.

Power sword.

Storm Bolter.

Advanced Signum: If the squad did not move in the preceding movement phase, at the expense of Helion firing, the entire squad may use Helions ballistic skill of 5.

Special rules

Special Issue Ammunition: Helion alone benefits from all the sternguard Special Ammunition types, and can fire them from his storm bolter, albeit at assault 2, not rapid fire.

So masterfully can Helion redeploy his squad on the battlefield, many an enemy commander has sword he had been setup there the entire time. Helion and his squad have Relentless universal special rule.

What... only 100 attacks? Here's my take.

Chuck Norris
WS- BS- S- T- W- I- A- Ld- Sv-

Special Rules:
  • While Chuck Norris is represented by an infantry sized model, his statistics are so enormous that no numbers can be chosen to represent them.
  • Deployment: Chuck Norris deploys himself wherever he chooses.
  • Chuck Norris moves, shoots and assaults during the "Chuck Norris" phase, which happens before EACH player phase.
  • Roundhouse Kick: Chuck Norris may use his roundhouse kick at any time during the "Chuck Norris" phase, AND/OR during any player phase, at any time. Chuck nominates any number of models. Roundhouse Kick does not require LOS and automatically hits. Damage is resolved as 2D6 Strength D hits on every model chosen.
  • If both armies have brought Chuck Norris, during the first "Chuck Norris" phase, both armies are roundhouse kicked off the table, resulting in a Loss for both players and the two Chuck Norris models go for beers.

Senior Champion (Black Templars) Similar stats to Emperor's Champion except +1 BS,WS, INI and attacks. He has 4 Wounds. (200 pts + vow)
Added to gear, adamantite mantle, Holy Orb of Antioch, Mastercraft the black sword, psychic hood and give him a plasma pistol. He counts as a commander if no commander is present in the army. Even if another emperor's champion is present he can take a vow as well.

Fluff Reasons - He leads the Emperor's Champions. Senior member, Though he is older, he is far more experienced making him recognize danger faster, and be more skilled in fighting and shooting. He gets several artifacts from the Templars storage to help him direct and lead in his mission.
