OK... going to be using a squad of chaos chosen, MoKhorne, prolly between 7 and 10 men.
Got weapons, I'm thinking 2PFists, 2Flamers, and 2 meltabombs. I have one more weapon token, and that should either be a flamer w/ meltabombs or a powerfist. I'm leaning towards flamer w/ meltabombs to help take out infantry. Question is: are 3 powerfists too many in a squad? are 2 too many in a squad? how many is too many?

3 powerfists is fine, I guess. Those flamers are what I find wierd. You want them to hunt down tanks with Fists, but you put flamers on them? what?

Power Fists are a bad idea in a Chosen Squad. 25pts nets you one Power Fist attack. A better idea is to have three Melta Guns, two Flamethrowers, and Icon, and six Melta Bombs. Mix them up properly so you can exploit the wound allocation rules for complex units.

Alternately, take a Champion with a Power Fist, three Plasma Gunners, and an Autocannon gunner, and an Icon if you want to infiltrate them and pop enemy transports and vehicles nice and early in the game.

Yes, Chosen are one of the worst platforms for Powerfists. You need 2-3 attacks base to make that Powerfist worth its 25 points. Chosen exist to be shooty, because everything else in the codex fights as well, if not better.

You might as well just take terminators.....duh. Your paying too much for infiltrating marines anyway, you should just pay a couple more points for deep striking.

A chaos termie with PF is 40pts, a chosen with just a PF is 43... and doesn't have termie armor.

It's not a complete imbalance. The Chosen model can be infiltrated or outflank. Also, they can perform a Sweeping Advance, which makes Terminators better at killing Fearless units and Chosen better at sweeping up non-fearless units.

True. But I sitll think that chosen should probably stick to shooting more then assaulting, kinda like SM Command Squads IMO.

True. Hopefully in the next book they'll be more like Space Marines Veterans and have the choice of a Universal Special Rule rather than just Infiltrate (I figure Infiltrate, Scout, Tank-Hunters, or Counter-Attack).

Space Marine vets don't get to choose a Universal Special rule anymore. That was the 4th edition codex.

I like Chaos Chosen loaded out like this.

2x 10 Chosen, MoS 1 Power fist, 1 Power Weapon, 3 Meltaguns, melta bombs, and a Rhino out flanking.

That's why I said that I wished they were more like Space Marine Veterans AND had their choice of a Universal Special Rule...

Uh, why is there a PF in the unit if you have MoS? It waste the initiative bonus.

It's there for the same reason you give any squad a fist; strength 8 attacks. One model out of ten not benefiting from MoS isn't that big of a deal

If you take the Power Fist, take the MoK, since then you'll be able to make more things dead.

This is definitely true, the only reasons I took MoS was my Chaos army was a Slaanesh army so every squad had MoS, the second is I prefer MoS because with the exception of the fist I want my squad to be hitting before most of the other units in the game.
