I like the ultramarines fluff, the whole "hey were roman/greek soldiers" vibe is cool in theory. It just doesn't translate well to the minis. Blue and yellow are boring colors imo.

The worst HAS got to be Rainbow Warriors, not only do they sound like space queers, but their based off of Aztec warriors? I don't know about you but I don't want to model my army off of people that got roflstomped by SPAIN. Thats allmost worse than being beaten by France...allmost

I don't like what Blood Angels have become. I liked them a lot more when they were closer to a codex chapter.

I have to disagree about the rainbow warriors, those guys are classic. And kind of the best option for those of us who really can't decide what colour to paint our space marines :-P

I think one of the lamest chapters is the Mentors. I don't like their colour scheme much, and their fluff about going round mentoring other chapters just makes them sound annoying.

I would also give lame awards to any chapter that has "Angels" in the name, who aren't Blood Angels (Especial if the chapter is called Dark Angels)

Also any chapter who's name begins with the word 'Space'

I don't know if there is a chapter called 'Space Angels' but if there is... They're the lamest.

Ultramarine is a color/ and a pun ULTRA marine
Blood raven is because they are red and have Aquila all over them
Grey Knight is a theme
Blood angels have wings and like reds
Space Wolves are exactly that

I almost hate to say it, but, like, Imperial Fists. They're all, "Our adherence to the Codex Astartes is the envy of all Space Marine Chapters! Except for the Ultramarines... feth."

They just don't fill a niche. Sure, some people say they're the masters of fortification, which would be useful if Space Marines were primarily deployed in a defensive capacity, which, well, they aren't. I don;t even think you can give them that though. They don;t even have a home fortress. They fly around the galaxy in a Death Star-type contraption.

Their are ,,canon". Not only have they an offical game, novels, they even got an Index Astartes Articel.

My choice would be the rainbow warriors too.

I actually think alot of these opinions are really good... I forgot all about the space sharks. Some guy in my area made this chapter, complete with (you guessed it) fins on their heads. Mentors sound pretty dumb too.

As far as founding legions I vote raven guard. "we look like crows. and we die. Nevermore." Lame-O

I think it's one of the "missing" founding legions the Pink Pansies - a legion so fearsome that even Khorne himself wouldn't let his daemons near them for fear of losing them the to the Pansies.
