Well hello. I have been playing 40k on and off for about 20 years. In that time I have had various influences and ideas about chapters and my skills have varied over time. After some encouragement from a friend I have signed up here to showcase a few of my more recent exploits. Namely my Chaos/Heretic army The Sons of Sateda. As no doubt many Stargate fans out there will recognise I have used the name of a planet from the spin off Atlantis. That's because in part I have used it as an inspiration for this army.

Their background is that they discovered various technologically adavanced devices and in their enthusiasm to showcase their discoveries were branded heretics by the Imperium. As the Imperial Navy descended upon their Homeworld of Sateda they managed to use one particular device to escape (I think you all know which). It took them to an abandoned city filled with similarly advanced technology that they had been cast out for trying to use in the first place. Determined to show that the technology is safe and even likely of ancient human origin the Sons continue to show themselves around the galaxy demonstrating their advanced discoveries.

Despite their efforts this of course is simply strengthening the Imperium's case against them. Recently they have discovered Nanite technology and the possible enhcnaments that could bring to their combat effectiveness. However since injecting themselves with these tiny machines the Chaos Gods have seen an opportunity to corrupt the Sons. Through subtle corruptions within the software coding of the Nanites the Sons of Sateda are gradually being turned into agents of Chaos. Some are already too far gone and have begun to warp and change into something resembling your classic Chaos Space Marine. Others desperately cling to their 'humanity' scouring the galaxy for power units to keep the city's vast computers running in the hope of finding a way to reverse the corruption and redeem themselves in the eyes of the Emperor...

Well thanks for the welcome guys I admit my army idea is not exactly original but I am doing my best to make sure it fits into the 40k universe. I am also working on my own sort of mini codex for them. Mainly background and the like. There's a lot of different facets to this army that I have yet to post about. Namely the elements of Sisters of Battle and Imperial Guard units that aren't featured yet mainy because I have no photos of them to show people yet. I'll explain more over time assuming the interest is there ^^

Thanks for the welcome guys. This the first time I have ever posted images of my stuff on a site where fellow builders like myself get to rate my work. Shame in this first array of pics I was using my crappy mobile phone camera but hopefully over time I will use a proper digital SLR and get some decent high res stuff posted of the rest of the army. Also I will post more recent images of the vehicles and men seen in the current crop of stuff.

The students will carry out the order without obstacle evenmbt if they don't hear the key words "blackboard" clearly.
