True.
But it means single pose straight out of the box, unless cut and shutting, I like my models to look different to each other.
Would poseable heads be too much to ask. Considering the price.

I am disappointed in the head/neck tabs.

Regardless of whether you like the Gorkanaut/Morkanaut, GW did a nice thing with modeling it by including very small 'locator' pegs. If you aren't a proficient modeler, they ensure you put the figure together correctly in a stable pose, but they are easy to remove (TRIVIALLY easy).

The same thing could have been done with the Flash Gits with NO difficulty. Given their elaborate hats and big guns, I could see a valid concern that people might glue a head onto the git in such a way that the gun would have been misaligned or impossible to attach. I can see the rationale for specific poses. But they KNOW that we are going to kitbash these things (heck, they do it in their own magazine in the premiere of the kit). It could have been made a lot easier with a small locator pin.

It's not insurmountable, in any way, but they got it right in another kit released ONE WEEK before.

THe amount of crying going on around here made me think I was on Warseer…

Give me a break boys, you can't file off the neck nub? Greenstuff the nob heads? This is the most basic conversion work a modeler learns.

I am buying two flash git kits and using some nob bodies from AOBR to finish off for a total of 24 flash glitz (using the 10 I already made). Will be 3 units of 8 in battle wagons.

Hey guys, sorry to bother the thread with such a fundamental question but I've been trying to keep up and just got lost somewhere along the line...

Do we have any solid release dates (not pre-order) for any of the new ork stuff?

The reason I ask is that Father's Day is coming up here on the 15th and if any of this was out by then it'd be a good chance for me to hit up my family for some ork swag.

Thanks,
Gits

Flashgitz heads come with a neck. Unlike all other ork model heads.

All previous heads including the ones in the Nobz set were just heads that could fit on any round Ork neck torso.

So why are the flash gitz with a neck?

the more I look at this release the more static it seems. they have many parts in the sprue but the models them selves are very One dimensional.

The neck isn't attached to the head, I think it's a separate piece.

Can't you just attach the neck piece to the chest, and then swap heads as usual?

That's what i'm seeing from the sprue pictures. Maybe the back of the heads will need to be filed down a little to fit other chest pieces, but it's a really minor conversion to do.

The Flash Gitz will be out by the 15th, Mork(or Gork)anauts are already out.

Big Gunz, the seemingly plastic Big Mek, and Codex are probably going for preorder on the 14th.

Probably not even that.

White Dwarf (page 29) specifically notes the new Flash Gitz were designed to work with the Nobz.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the codex with be the last release this month, if not the first thing we see next month.

Part 26 on the upper right side looks like a neck with necklace with teef:

And part 22 on the upper left side (next to the large pirate-y icon) looks like another neck bit with a collar and a necklace. And some kind of sculpted detail for the heads with open mouths to use:

Plus there is this from the person who designed the models in the WD:

So yeah, the kits should be compatible seeing as it's coming straight from the mouth of the person who designed the Gitz.

Not impossible. Just a thought I have. Either way I've budgeted money for the codex so I'm ready whenever it hits.

Yes. Flash Gitz are coming next week. They're a pre-order item until then.

Beyond that it doesn't say what will be going on pre-order after the Gitz.

I'm hoping it isn't a kit a week with the codex at the end, although I think there is a good chance of a kit a week as they seem to have slowed right down since 7th hit.

Looking at the sprues there seems to be a lot of end pieces of guns but not many middle bits of guns so I think it is going to take a bit of work making the guns from the nob set big enough to fit on an extra end or two.

The current guess has Orks having the same number of new kits as the other recent launches, which by now we'd seen at least one week of multiple kits. Yet we are on week 2 of Orks and only had 2 kits with seemingly only one kit coming next week. Either Orks have less kits, or they are getting spread out over more weeks. Its perplexing as GW have been moving at breakneck pace.

Looking at this week's white dwarf the snazz guns have a central core with interchangeable side and front panels so you could make your own central core. Anybody brave enough to count the interchangeable gun bits on the sprue to see how many spares there are?

have to admit i am pretty impressed with how much of the sprue they use. Lots of potential for converting up your ork boys or nobs.

though the price does seem high, as someone mentioned earlier in the thread you will usually find a place that discounts on the net in addition those places now take paypal so if you trade in/sell a few things the impact wouldn't be as hard.

yes i know the price is still relatively high if you pay retail to support your local store. But for me the only "local store" is a games workshop...

It definitely not less kits than normal, we've seen 5, and squid rumored a boss and a painboy, and that rumor had been 100% correct so far. We are looking at having possibly the biggest release

I'm wondering if their have been any rumors about those big guns being weapons up grades for the battle wagon?

Not impressed with the Flash Gitz at all. Snazzguns look more like a bike than a weapon, the pose is very boring and the price is horrible. It makes me sad that Central/East Europe gamers are slowly getting outpriced by GW. :(

'Orkanaut has an aweful design as well and the Big Guns look like a Trukk cut in half but will probably be priced more. Hopefully at least the Mega Nobz will be worthy all the teeth they are going to cost.

By the way, what about the Gretchin rumours? Are they still credible at all? I love the current models.
